NFL Post Season Pick'em Contest
 

Sorry for being late on this but I forgot all about us doing this last year.

It's just for fun and here's a link to last years thread.

Let's have a little fun and see who can pick the most correct through the playoffs.

I'll keep track of the standings for anyone that has posted their picks no later than 4:30pm EST on 01/08/11. (Due to me being late in getting this started if you don't see the post until after a game has started, you may take a 0 for the game or games played or in progress but can still pick the rest.)

Any edits made after this time will make your picks void.

Picks for all four weekend games will be locked in at this time.

We will be using the Sloate Scoring System again this year.

1 point for each wild card game
2 points for the conference semi-finals
3 points for the conference finals
5 points for the Super Bowl.

Rob- I'm at a loss with the Jets. One week they look like Superbowl contenders, the next they look like a lottery team. I never know what to expect with them. Today I think they might fall a little short.

If they get pressure on Manning and don't turn the ball over they will win. The Jets are too talented on offense not to put up points on that Indy D. Plus of course I am a little biased with my pick...I just can't go against them.

Well I'm rooting for the Jets, but I think the Colts will win. Some days Sanchez looks like Joe Montana, others he looks like a second year player still learning the game.

Had a bunch of Jet fan friends over to watch the game, and the range of emotions during the 4th quarter was nauseating. From Santonio dropping an easy 1st down conversion and then us getting a break when Indy made a bonehead special teams play running into the kicker. Then Peyton driving down the field and watching who has to be the best big game kicker in NFL history kick a 50 yarder with ease. Then with Brad Smith not at full strength Cromartie gives great field position and then the most stomach turning moment was watching Folk prepare to kick the game winning FG with our season on the line. What a night!!

Well I'm 0 for 2. I might try making all my picks...and then going with the other team. I could win it all that way.:)

If anybody wants in just pick todays games prior to kickoff of the 1pm game. You won't be at a huge disadvantage!

I don't know how the Giants gave up four touchdowns in eight minutes to that team. They looked pretty awful today.

I absolutely am sick of the Pats and am surrounded by their fans here. It all stems from being on Rush Street during the Superbowl against the Bears, they cost me a lot of rounds of beers.

I hope the officials for the Pitt/Balt game are very proud of themselves. A great game, but very poorly officiated.

no, Ben is certainly not and i was happy to see him pay for his actions. but Ray Lewis was complicit in two people being murdered. yeah, he paid for his actions too. but Braylon is being allowed to dodge judgment so he can play. and DWI kills far too many innocent people every year.

Edited to add that I see you have no picks in for the FUN game here, so exactly why do you think it is your mandate to voice your opinion? I see a few nice photos from our members that have temperence connections, go buy a few and post them. I do have an OUI as they are called here in Maine. Thought the Ravens would get them yesterday. Looking good at halftime, but after Rice's fumble the game changed.

Jets v Pats is going to be a very interesting game. Hope it will be as fun as the Ravens/Steelers.

Bears are straight annihilating the Seahawks right now.

Rob and I are 3 for 3, and he's got the Jets and I've got the Patriots. So one of us is going to sweep. I'd still be very happy with a Jets win, and lose the 2 points.

Congratulations to the Jets! That was a big time win, and they made it look easy.

I can't wait to listen to the criers on the radio in the morning.

Congrats on Robs picks this weekend, man you would've made a killing in Vegas. How stunned did the Pats look that fourth quarter, Brady seemed shell shocked the whole game, gotta give credit to the Jets for being so ready and focused. How killer is the Bears and Packers game gonna be !

Including both last year's pool and this year's, the Jets have played five games and I've picked them wrong five times! And now I'm jumping on their bandwagon. Does that mean their season will come to an end on Sunday? I certainly hope not. For next week:

Barry the Jets are definately due revenge against the Steelers ! How cool is it to have four old school teams fighting for the superbowl ! And one of the greatest all time rivals in the Bears and Packers, two teams I couldn't hate more but respect to the fullest.

Thanks Johnny! I know, I haven't seen Brady that rattled in a long time. The Jets certainly do have big mouths but they backed it up Sunday. Both games have the potential to be classics.

I have to say right now that the Jets will win the Superbowl. After yesterday's game there is no doubt.

It will be interesting, remember not to long ago the Jets lost 45-3 against the Pats and the Pats destroyed Chicago and then Chicago beat the Jets and then the Jets destroyed the Pats so who knows what is next but will be fun to watch.
