well I tried to post a 1929 Gomez ZeeNut, but I was too late, and Photobucket seemed easier on the old board.

A 1918 ZeeNut, Williams, San Francisco Seals.
http://www.net54baseball.com/picture...7&pictureid=98 I need a bit of help... Who is this player Williams?? I don't see any Williams in the PCL in 1918, the only one I see in 1917 is Ken Williams. He was with Portland that year. In 1918 he was with the St. Louis Browns for 2 games, I don't see him playing anywhere else that year. My understanding is that he served in the military during WW I. I wonder if this card is of Ken Williams who might have been traded to San Francisco before he enlisted... or it may well be some other Williams. |

Frank, I have seen that player identified as David Williams before, and the SABR site does have a D. Williams that played in the Northwestern League in 1915 & 1916, it could be the same guy, not quite sure though.

1907 Dietsche Postcard of that great pitcher, who'd be in the Hall if the owners hadn't screwed him around and cost him games the last few years of his career, because he'd been so prominent in the Baseball Fraternity movement... Ed Reulbach.

Nice McGuire...
I don't have an E107, I think they're 1903. Then it's going to get tough for us... And no doubt Leon is dusting off one of those T203's for when we get to 1900. I might have to find some Harper's woodcuts to get us back to the Old Judges. |
Steve, both Fan Craze sets are from 1906, despite the slab. But here is a 1904 Stenzel Pin of the popular Mike Donlin

The Standard Catalog has no entries for 1897, which is where we've halted.
In 1896 the Catalog shows Mayo N301s. In 1895 there are Mayo N300s, Newsboy Cabinets, and Police Gazzette Supplements. For 1890 I have the 4 page supplement that was in Harper's Weekly, if we can get that far along. |

I'm not sure whether the Keeler and Clarke Alpha Engraving cards have ever been located but here is how they would appear. Keeler top row far left. W. J. Clarke bottom row second from the right.

Have we given up on this?
Looking for 1892 |
I've not given up... just waiting. I'll post for 1890 unless someone else has an 1890 item they want to show... This was interesting. Once we get to the 1860s we should do it again, with items from series posted here disqualified.

According to Terry Knouse, from whom I purchased this cabinet, this dates to 1890.
