I met an old man that had a selection of these. I couldn't decide which one so I just picked up all of them. :D Too far?

Chris showed me the Cobb Proof the other day. It's hands-down the most significant Proof found to date. Just stunning, and hugely important.
|
Holy shit Chris!! Congrats. That’s an amazing pick up. Can’t wait to see your April

1911 H998 Western Playground. Member trade, thank you Val. What I really appreciate about this community is the willingness to work with each other to build our collections, doesn't always happen but its nice to see when the right cards find the right homes. - |

I should wait til I get it in hand, but I'm excited about the card and the deal I got. It's nice to own a piece of history.
I'm also waiting on a PSA 9.5 1952 Mantle I recently picked up from another high end vendor off Facebook. Great community, great people. It's nice to finally join the major players in the hobby. |
Nice start to the month guys!
Chris, your Cobb proof is stunning! Huge congrats!!! |
Wow...great pickup!

Well been a long time since I could post an update to this in here

Thank you all
I know Morton is out there somewhere, he was graded with one of the early Diaz batches but was sold before the rest made it to Goodwin. I've only seen one Donohue and it was rough. Was a picture on an old Cuban card site Though interestingly enough, there's another Joe Shaute out there now, ran into the picture by accident. Someone seems to be compiling a virtual Diaz set website By Speece, well the 1924 Senators are Val's baby so hopefully a 3rd's floating about somewhere |

Didnt get any notices, but found out just now i won. Its weird and colored, so the price stayed low it seems. Another one off the checklist, stilling looking to close the set out. |

On Vacation last week, took my son into a small Maui card shop. Almost all modern (to be expected), but then came across two t206 cards in a display case. Already surprised to find them, I was even more surprised to find one with an off-back. Ended up snagging this H. Davis Sovereign 150 for $4o. Even more neat, it's one of the cards I needed for my off-back t2o6 set-build.

I've been to Maui many times and didn't know there was a card shop there. Where is it? |

Thrilled to add this 1910 American Caramel Company Jimmy Archer card to my collection. For whatever reason, these cards are more often than not beat up.
Happy to have this example from the Frank Nagy collection that presents well with one small verticle crease and some paper loss on the back. Knocks another "type" off my list as well. Patrick |

An honest card of one of the best day in, day out players ....... :)
I have always found Morgan (along with Lapp) to have an "interesting" look. First off, the unique "white grass." But more importantly, the imagines seem to be placed on top of the background ..... giving them a "3D" (;)) look ...... Attachment 567785 Fun, fun, Scott  |

May have been one or two in March...the rest in April. Nothing earth shattering, but lining myself up to list some decent t2o6's for sale here soon...

Happy to pick this up last night--PSA has now (harshly) graded 190 of all of the fragile M101-2 and the highest grade it has ever given out for the entire run of all players is a 4, and just two of those. This is one of them, John J. McGraw. And he even went to my alma mater, along with Hughie Jennings. The baseball field is still McGraw-Jennings Field.
