It's now higher than almost any reported sale of a 6, and a world record for a 5. And hours to go still. The wonders of PWCC. |
centering
buy the card not the grade...
|
just think
i begging for 1725 on this forum for that card......wont even try to sell my jackie psa 8 here!

Fear not, a world record is upon us in PWCC.
|
jackie my old friend
i think the centering on that psa 5 though is really good...tons of cards have some spots on them....i think the card is a strong psa 5...
but who cares i dont have the card anymore..i also had that campy 6.5 thats selling tonight..i got it bumped from a psa 6 to a psa 6.5.....i think it was listed here as well and didnt sell for a price that will be hundreds less than it will sell for .. |
You have to understand that there is a very limited market here compared to the whole world which is watching ebay. Especially for postwar. Sometimes stuff sells, sometimes it doesn't, it all depends on who is looking for what when, but no need to be complaining about the BST. I've had some very successful sales here but you can't expect that consistently.
|
52 jackie
not complaining...just pointing out the solid deals i have offered..and to look for more deals...i have made great deals here as well...also bought a lot of cards here real nice..... its free to post here..why would i complain...
not sure why you are complaining that i am complaining when i not complaining.....so stop complaining! |
This to me is a complaint, or a diss, or something.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i begging for 1725 on this forum for that card......wont even try to sell my jackie psa 8 here! |

yeah out of context...jackie psa 8 sold anyway... |
2477 with two hours to go. Sometimes, things strain credulity.
|
1952s
PWCC doing really well with the 1952s..look how much the Nuxall is at..or the #12 Basgall......a big uptick in prices on 1952s..i going to send my high numbers to him it looks like..
|
doesnt happen everyday.
where you are offered are card on the forum for 1700 and 2 months later the same card sells on ebay for 2700...1000 dollars more...
|
wow.....it sold for more than the PSA6 did without the dots. Four 1952 Robinson's from PWCC closing on the same night. The PSA3 wasn't a bad deal for the look/condition. Straining Credulity is an aprapos phrase...........
|
It sold for more than ANY reported PSA 6 -- a full grade higher -- has ever sold for. Please.
|
card
well you cant say the buyer bought the psa 5 for the grade not the card since the psa 6 went for less.....

And the two underbidders in this PWCC auction bid on almost exclusively PWCC auctions -- which suggests this could be yet another shilled auction. Who on earth would pay that price for that ugly 5?
|
no shilling
makes no sense to put in shill bids at least at the point when already 500 over the highest price ever for a psa 5 .....that only your opinion that card was ugly...many bidders not agree....
|
I can't decide what's worse -- your grammar or logic. Do you have to pay $100 for each word you type and that prevents you from adding all the necessary words to form a sentence? And do white print marks help a card's value or hurt it? Here's your answer: in every auction but Probstein and PWCC the marks hurt the card's value.
|
I think he may be paid not to use apostrophes? :D
|
i not believe that ... think PWCC just solds better....me hungry.
|
Even with the spots it was THAT much better than any other one. :)

no shilling never ever not no no way not me
takes it out of context....pwcc solds best....i sells my 52 topps now...me tarzan you jane
|
I'd like to correct the grammar for you Jeff, but I am still working on the first sentence.
|
Frank you may need some of these. :D
' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' |
prices change
right attack the grammar but not the point that the card has several bids over $2000...no reason to shill when already record high
sometimes cards go up in value....even jackie robinsons that are centered amazing enough.. if past prices never changed and stayed the same forever..why are there price changes...eventually a card will go for more or for less than price history.. |
Quote:
also why even argue..proof is in the pudding.. ..it wasnt a buy it now..there were several bidders above $2000......even if the card not worth 2600..can be in the 2300 range in the next auction...no reason to be surprised if that happened... |
Sorry, I don't usually criticize grammar except when it's so painfully idiotic so as not to be believed. I honestly think that English is your second language. If not, perhaps you can explain to us why some sentences end with two periods, some end with none -- but no sentence ends with a single period.
And the "upward trend in a year" you mention is solely the work of two auction houses in which fraud is rampant: Probstein and PWCC -- based on their prior auction results which are suspect anyway. Regardless if the card is "centered amazing enough" (whatever that means -- I'll consult my ape/English translation program, however you previously described the centering as "decent[]."), it has an obvious print defect on the front. To suggest that this card is the wonderful specimen of all specimens to cause such a jump in price is laughable, even Mastro-like in its dishonesty. |

Here is what the card looked like a few months ago when it sold, presumably to Jacob, for 1755. What a difference a scan makes.
|
Quote:
anyway..i think its just your opinion that the card isnt a great specimen for a psa 5.and not the final authority on the matter...we are talking general eye appeal.....but 3 others disagree that bid all time highs...i really dont see fraud happening when there is bidding with several bidders over an all time high...maybe to get the all time high, but once at the all time high you really got to be a conspiracy theory guy to think that they would play around with losing a deal when already above that limit also you disagree with past sales because of the auction houses...well when the auction houses including ebay make up of the major part of the market share..i tend to cite those sales instead of some sales that make up very little of the market share..silly me... |
for the record
Quote:
i didnt buy the card for 1755...i 100% bought it off ebay...FYI.... |
OK fair enough my bad but my point was it sold in June for 900 less than it just sold for. Markets don't change that fast. SAME exact card.
