[QUOTE=ooo-ribay;2472833 re: “Rick’s Red Sox pennant” - I didn’t realize Rick Haskins ever posted here. I have heard the name many times but, unfortunately, I’ve never had the pleasure of dealing with him. [/QUOTE] Maybe the nicest guy in the entire hobby. And I doubt if there has ever been a show he set up at in the last several decades where he didn't have the best selection of pennants and pinbacks, including every National.

It’s crazy how rare the RepCo pennants are. My guess would be most of the original owners died 1940-1970. If the pennants were even kept that long, and I’m sure many weren’t, they were probably just tossed after the owner’s death since baseball memorabilia wasn’t really a “thing” in that time frame.

Why would anyone spend 100x (1000x?) more for a ‘52 Mantle card?

It doesn't make sense to me. As nice as a Mantle rookie is, it's not particularly rare. Would you rather have a 1 of 3,000 or a 1 of 1? Not to mention the art work and craftsmanship.

I'll never get it either. I guess it takes a bold collector to step outside the giant world of cards and appreciate a truly scarce art form. This is the part where we all pat ourselves on he back. :p

“1 in 3000”? I think there’s more than that!

Picked this up as part of a trade recently. I'm calling it my Giants Babe Ruth pennant.

Related to all the Repco talk, three of the four Repco pennants from our recent "find" are now in Net54 collections. Would be nice to place the 4th (Athletics) in one as well. I'm just saying...

The BBCs are clearly the most attractive pennants ever made. The detail in the graphics is amazing, especially given the fact that screening was very new. The only ones that come close are the few Collegiate 3D examples and 1950s Trench.

As a mini project, I've spent some time over the last few weeks, photographing my pennants and creating a google photo album.

If you're interested, you can have a look here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/5CwMVSUHgW4ASXk18

Any feedback about how to improve the album is welcome.
