Looks like Repco used this "c" for lower case R's consistently, as you point out, Rob. It's on many of their pennants, in fact. Their lower case "R" was slightly different, as seen on this Univ. of Colorado pennant featuring their "Broncho Buster" artwork, copyrighted in 1909.... Odd. |
It's those gothic fonts...they're a killer. :D

From a 1961 D**gers merchandise brochure. Interesting, in that it shows the Giants Seals Stadium pennant and the Giants last played there in 1959.
