Willard "Wayne" Terwilliger. "Twig". Second baseman for the Washington Senators in 1953-1954. 501 hits and 22 home runs in 9 MLB seasons. He debuted with the Chicago Cubs in 1949-1951. His best season at the plate was 1953 for the Washington Senators as he posted a .343 OBP with 62 runs scored in 541 plate appearances. After playing, he had extensive experience as a minor league manager and MLB lines coach for Ted Williams, Don Zimmer, Darrell Johnson, Doug Rader, Bobby Valentine, Ray Miller, and Tom Kelley. He was the 1B-coach for the World Series Champion Minnesota Twins teams in 1987 and 1991.
