Hey Jim- thanks for sharing these pics. I've heard Mark say that there used to be more things like this that came up for sale (although they clearly were not cheap). It's nice to see them.

Where’s your latest pickup? Don’t worry…I’m over it.

Yeah I think you are basically correct, there are only a few isolated counter examples. The only dated pennants I’ve seen from the 1920s are all just full-size or smaller.

As for the Mets - thanks! - and will do. I somehow got one that was not faded. Here’s the 1969 dated version, which raises questions since it is sans MLB trademark.

That looks like it was just made yesterday.

I'm assuming you mean this one. It's maybe 2/3 size? Or a bit less. Held together with staples.

It’s been on my wantlist for years. A big time Tacoma collector told me I’d have to “back up the Brinks truck” to get his. I told him I would never do that. It doesn’t have a ton of what JR would call “eye appeal.” That said, I would have been all over it if I had seen it before Marc. Good get; very rare.

Yep it never saw sunlight, the blue cloth is still very bright. It’s definitely vintage. The question is if it is Trench or not. All other signs point to ‘yes’ but the other Trench 1969 Mets (notably with the roster) have the trademark.

A custom fitted holder is a must for that beauty!

Jim, the 1924 Washington pennant … if I recall there’s a picture underneath in the catalog that I recall shows a post-series celebration with the pennants on display. I actually think it is my much less appealing version pictured below. If you are able could you post a highest resolution shot of that picture?

Someone did that for me some time ago but it was too blurry. I will also DM you if email is easier.

Thanks for pics!

Santa Clara's main rival, obtained in a trade. I could never own a Dodgers pennant. Or an Auburn pennant (my grad degree is from Alabama). But for some reason I'm ok with this. I particularly like the blue one.
