This works, though. If you have to have a pair of missing tassels, way better that they be missing bottoms. Still displays nice. But if only tops are missing, no bueno.

Well since the pennant conversation has devolved this far, I think Greg may have had something similar on his mind when he wrote the part in bold.

And now on this the eighth day of June in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-three … the WGN series is complete. Thanks to the incredibly clutch board member who secured this for me.

POSTSCRIPT

I am reminded that this is merely one of each team, that there are others in this “set” that I don’t have like this one below, and I should probably get a new hobby …

That's a nice looking wall! I was watching the Reds that sold last week (close to $500, if I recall correctly). It did very well. Still wonder what the bomber logo is all about with respect to connecting to the Reds.

Amazing display Greg. Not only that Browns but, the misspelled Yankies and Athletics you would need to complete the master set.

Thanks! I can’t bring myself to buy the misspelled pennant but some of the others are cool.

Yes that’s a mystery that may never be solved. Was happy to see that it sold for a high amount.

A couple of new arrivals today.

I don't normally go for mini pennants but Mantle Holiday Inn is an exception.

I thought the Buffalo pennant was a good one to learn about the feel and texture of early pennants. Though if one of you were to tell me it was a Buffalo Federal League pennant, I wouldn't be upset (...I know it's not).
