Henry "Hank" Thompson. Third baseman for the New York Giants in 1949-1956. 801 hits and 129 home runs in 9 MLB seasons. Career OBP of .372. In 1947, was the first black player to play for the St. Louis Browns. His best season may have been 1950 for the New York Giants as he posted a .391 OBP with 91 RBIs in 604 plate appearances. Also starred for the Kansas City Monarchs in the Negro American League. 1954 World Series Champion.
