His "Pittsburgh" made up for it.

Didn't it have a large dark stain in the lower left portion?

Just going from memory, but think I remember ruling it out immediately because of the blemish. If he ever provided more than one solitary photo, it would be easier to ascertain the condition.

I just looked….it did. The crazy thing is, I think the SF Giants Keezer would go for 20x that much. I think Marc may have the only known example. One of my Holy Grails…

Looks legit and possibly older, although this is one that needs to be held to have a better idea. The tassels with the fishtailed tips are similar to a 1910s White Sox that I have.

Agree....

Assuming it's legit, it's likely from the teens. Oversized pennants were all but gone by 1920, and I'm not aware of any authentic oversized examples from the '30s.

It would help to see a blown-up photo or see it in-person. Looks pretty cool despite the simplistic design.

Yeah this looks more like a tough call to me as I examine more closely. It appears that the letters were cut and embroidered, and if that’s the case they look almost too neat and straight to be of the era. I agree with Mark that even a closeup would probably reveal the truth. What’s weird is, this was auctioned in that group of three?

It was actually a group of nine. 7/10/08. I found those on Pinterest. Yes, Pinterest :p I had always thought Pinterest was a “chick site” but I’ve found a lot of stuff on there that relates to other interests of mine (motorcycles, construction, cars, etc.). A search of baseball pennants didn’t yield much but those popped up.

My favorite Cubs pennant logo … now being auctioned with a high starting price. I hope the bears at least know each other …
