Perring & Persons

The Perring is mine, but will be sold, and the Persons is no longer mine, but I have been wanting to post some Cubbies and get in on the fun. I was always beat to the punch!
Both are well-loved examples. |

Sean, in order to see your attachments, which don't show at first, I have to re-log in after opening up one of the attachments in a new tab. I am logged in to the forum while viewing these, but it asks me to log in again (ie "you don't have permission to see these"). Does anybody else have this issue with Chrome? And by the way, "scrap" or not, Sean, that's a beauty. It looks ghostly with the colors like that. That's a kind of scrap I'd stare at like Smeagol for hundreds of years. :D |

Ok, let's see some more Planks! |
I see them now, Jason. Thank you. :)

Thanks Jason. I'm not refering specifically to your card, but that Purtell card has to be the ugliest card in the entire set.

In my eyes, they all look good, even Purtell. :)
Great cards, everyone. Wonka, those 2 Planks are awesome. Great Planks from Sean and Nelson, too. Thank you all very much for adding them to the set. Your AB 460 subset is coming along beautifully. And the Puttman Blank Back Proof you posted is absolutely awe-inspiring. The team name is absent on the other (beautiful) example shown in this thread. Thank you very much for adding this card to the Net54 virtual T206 set. Your continued support of this thread is greatly appreciated. I truly hope this finds you well and that Cooperstown (one of my favorite places in the whole wide world) and Chicago were enjoyable. Everyone else, here are the next six...let's keep 'em coming! - Jack Quinn - Newt Randall - Bugs Raymond - Ed Reagan - Ed Reulbach (glove showing) - Ed Reulbach (no glove showing) |
If someone has the Quinn, I have the Randall. Too much progress to stop now! :D

Jack Quinn TRIVIA
Jack Quinn had a long BB career....and, is the only active ballplayer to appear in both the T206 set and the 1933 Goudey set.

Ritter....Rockenfeld....Rossman
Rossman's Major League career ended Sept 1909. This fact most likely is the reason why Rossman was printed with only 5-T206 backs (SWEET CAP factory #30 missing in this scan).
Rossman was not printed with AMERICAN BEAUTY 350, BROAD LEAF 350, CAROLINA BRIGHTS, CYCLE 350, DRUM, El PRINCIPE de GALES, OLD MILL, POLAR BEAR or TOLSTOI. http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...Rossman50x.jpghttp://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...ps309a7233.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...ossman50xb.jpghttp://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...psa80d0b16.jpg __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ .http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...ps33097eb5.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...ps281a5f54.jpg TED Z __________________________________________________ _____________________________________ LOOKING for these 6 - T206 guys to complete my AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 sub-set (75 cards) AMES (hands over head)....CAMNITZ (hands over head)....DOYLE (portrait)....McGRAW (portrait-cap) McQUILLAN (bat)....TINKER (bat off shoulder) |

You're quite welcome, my friend. This thread has been a pleasure. BTW - no worries...wear your Monster number with pride. :) Thanks to another great Board Member (Hi, Frank) we can all aspire to tackle the Monster. Just don't pay attention when the Monster raucously laughs at us mere mortals, and keep fighting the good fight. Best Regards, Eric |
