No offense intended, Mister Trebek. The answer/clue to elicit "Virgil Trucks" was certainly among the least awful so far.

The question we were looking for was "who is Scotty Barr." (A's, 1908-09)

Astyanax Douglass (sorry, omitted an s before) cup-o'-coffeed for Reds in 1921 and 1925
and is our favorite pre-war name.
