i don't care how you sell it ..but if you going to say something in efforts to sell a card and not go through what you say , then I may call you out on it...

if someone says 'if I don't get X amount or will send to auction tomorrow'...and they don't send it..yeah I may say something..but it doesn't mean I care how the seller sells the card...just calling them out........seller can do whatever they want ..I don't care.. just pointing out words and actions....

This hasn't been a BST THREAD for months. It is a DISCUSSION about selling or not selling a card and should not be here on the BST. Every time I come here to see what's for sale, I se see this freakin' thread. Every time I bump one of my threads to help generate sales, someone posts a meaningless comment on this thread.

The card is for sale...that is fine. But, endless conversations do not belong here. I am too lazy too count but the percentage of posts actually pertaining to making an offer or rejecting one ('cause you sure as hell haven't accepted one) is microscopic.

I don't care how he sells it can sell it in any manner he wants, I just calling out something he said versus what he did...he can do whatever he wants with the card.... again if he says he's consigning it tomorrow , good for him I don't care....if he then doesn't consign it like he said when trying to get offers on the card.., I just pointing that out

I think the point of it is that it should not be a discussion. I give the seller credit for tolerating all of the posts that have trampled his selling attempt. If I owned a card of this caliber I would want to maximize it. I dont know anything about the seller but maybe this is his ticket and he does not want to waste it.

After reading enough of the for sale threads it is obvious that the thing which sparked the discussion is the lack of askng price combined with the fact it is a highly desired combo and a lot of jealous people that would love to own it.

The selling tactic here is not unheard of on here. Do the people that are genuinely offended by the post and their disgust if seeing it treat other posts the same way? That would really discourage other people trying to sell things.

As far as not doing what you say you might do, "so what". It is his card. There are far worse tactics to try and sell something. I read the thread about the snyder card and it seems there are lots of people here that have strong opinions about what others should and should not do, when in reality it is not even the slightest bit of yheir concern of were even asked for their opinion.

I will go back to not saying anything now. Good luck with your sale. I hope you get 30k and end this thread with everyone that wants the card at a steal pounding sand.

Personally, I think it's time to remove this thread. It's been hogging the BST thread for too long.

Thank you Kevin I appreciate that there is a lot of bashing of my card but I try to keep my cool because I know most people that do that are jerks

I find this thread more interesting than annoying.

I come to see what's for sale and then there's more comedy to watch/observe.

That said it's a hell of a card and I myself would have problem selling it. I think Kevin hit the nail on the head and this has turned into a witch hunt.

Not sure the card is worth $15k or whatever the price was BUT how many do you see with that combo? If I had an infinite amount of disposable income I'd jump on it but I don't.

I'm unsure why I keep opening this thread, but i do. So I only have myself to blame.

You really think the people that would like this thread to go away are jealous that he owns the card? I think that's the easy way to dismiss legitimate concerns.

I just think it's really rude of the guy who owns the card to clog up the BST by bumping this thread as often as every three days. There are plenty of guys on this board who have more valuable cards that they want to sell. None of them have ever opened up a 5 month long blog thread about a single card. They might make one post about it here, and then if it doesn't sell, quietly send it to Goodwin, REA, LotG, etc.

Any net54 member who collects t206 has already seen this thread. So him bumping it serves no purpose that I can see.

+1. First of all, it's a very nice card. I'd love to own it. That said, I believe that everyone on here who might buy it based on the thread has seen it. At this point it is no longer a B/S/T thread. If you want unlimited advertising, pay Leon for a banner on the site and leave the B/S/T section for the folks that are actively trying to sell cards.

The problem is that the OP is not supposed to bump a BST but once every three days or so. Every time he answers someone it is a bump. This thread is getting bumped by the OP multiple times daily...

I agree that it's not Robert's fault that people keep posting, but here is a list since the first post with all of the times that Robert has bumped the thread with no other comments in between.

I realize that he is adhering to the "do not bump more than every few days", but when you keep bumping with no new information (price reduction, etc...)at what point do you give up and try another route?

This thread is really picking up, 4+ pages in 2 days. Still no bids for the card though. What happened to sending it off to auction like you mentioned back in late March?

An OP should be able to respond to comments or questions without violating the bump rule. However it does seem the chances of this card selling in this thread are slim. If this were my card I would be exploring other options.

In March a "dozen or so people and auction houses" estimated the card to be worth 25-35K. Today "people tell [you] it should go around 18K ...." You do understand that these people are full of shit, right? Because those "dozen or so people and auction houses" who think the card is worth 25-35K would actually have bought the card for the 18K you'd sell it for now in a heartbeat if they really believed their estimate.

The correct response was "for $20K you could buy the card, which would in turn end this thread". Solid effort though.
