Not gonna lie. I'm pretty excited about this one, my first 19th century card. My scanner does it no justice at all...

Those N28s look perfect in those mid grades. Nice HOFer as well. Good one!

One I've wanted for a while. I know, it's not a card. But it's listed in the standard catalog, so it's good enough for me..

Great pick-up, David. 1936?

Ah.....now I know who got me on that Cuccinello......good pickup. I did get the Dizzy Dean and Lefty Grove.........
http://www.net54baseball.com/picture...ictureid=11711 http://www.net54baseball.com/picture...ictureid=11710 And, in addition to a bunch of other chocolate advertising calendars from NECCO, Foss, Lowney's and Apollo, I got a neat Blome's Chocolate 1913 pocket calendar. All the other companies issued nonsports cards in the 1910's. Maybe one of the first Blome's ad pieces I've seen........ http://www.net54baseball.com/picture...ictureid=11707 That Gehrig Salutation is gonna be a big mountain to climb.....or even FIND..... |
1930 Baguer Chocolate set
I recently picked up a 40-card lot of Cuban cards from the 1930 Baguer Chocolates baseball set. The cards are pretty banged up, as a whole - but there's some pretty nice star power in there...
http://packgeek.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/collage.jpg Thanks for letting me share. |
Hi Jeff, that's a nice pickup. I saw that one. I think you should be able to soak some of the scrapbook residue on the backs, if you haven't already. Of course, try on a common first!
|
A pretty tough card, at least compared to the Chicago Fed. bat on.

Amazing Scott, congrats.
|
Now that's awesome.
|
Great card, Scott!
|
Not baseball but will probably be more appreciated by the sportscard guys than the non. Too bad this didn't picture a ballplayer (actually this is only the 2nd non-baseball one I've ever seen and the first no longer exists as it was sacrificed to restore the 4BH John Ward)!

T213 Tinker
Great card, Mike. I believe that is the only Tinker bat on Nat. on the PSA pop chart. That is one of the more difficult cards in the set for sure. The Tinker bat away Nat. is also scarce, but I have seen a few more of these. Grabbed this one the other day.
http://www.host.jwcinc.net/712533/br..._5/267_3_9.jpg Great cards, all. Scott, that Mack cabinet looks like it belongs in the Hall of Fame. Great pick up. |
nice Scott, figured it was you!

Simply Wow!
Scott,
Your Mack is simply WOW! The cheap wallpaper look around his oval portrait makes his picture just pop. Sweet pickup. Tim |

Truly a hobby treasure...W600 Mack
Congrats Scott on the W600 Mack...I would rather have that card than a T206 Wagner.

Picked up the Baker for my HOF RC Collection (since I'll never own the Carl Horner Cabinet) and the McGraw T206 SC 30 leaves my McGraw back run at just 4 remaining.

That collection of 71 SLCs were later broken up and sold privately. My worse non transaction ever was not buying a group of those cards (included Cobb & Mack) when offered. We were $8K apart. |
Jerry,
Does a list of the 71 exist or maybe even photocopies?? Scott |

I did have photocopies of the SLCs that were in the group I mentioned earlier. Just last year, when I moved, I threw them out. The cards were copied in their glassine envelopes so as a result the pictures were not good. I just read your post about the Copeland PR. I have extra copies I can deliver next month but I see Barry has offer to send you scans. |
My First T207s!
