I've not seen the pennant before Marc. Love the bright red on that one.

I won an auction on Sunday for a lot of DiMaggio memorabilia including this pennant. I can't wait to get it in my hands. I'm pretty excited about the cap too. I've only managed to find 2 sales of it. One at Hakes in 2009 and the other at Lelands in 2001.

Wow! That Mathewson is a beautiful pennant but $21K is a heck of a price.

The same pennant sold for $13,750 at Christie's not even a year ago. https://www.christies.com/en/lot/lot-6296494

Agreed it is a beauty and I had a few bids in for it. But it was way over what I was willing to pay.
Yes I was amazed that it would be that much over the year priors price.
Sadly it will not be in my collection hopefully someone here added it to theirs.

$21k is a big price, but people will pay 2x, 5x, 20x, even 50x that for a small, cardboard portrait of Mickey Mantle.
