Decided to mix it up with some college football. Looks like the dude is about to stiff arm the gator [emoji1377][emoji246][emoji458]

The lessons I've learned: * Oxiclean only works on the newer, stiff white pennants. It doesn't do much on the softer felt ones. * Bleach works great on some older white pennants but I had a disaster on one with red graphics. * Oxyclean can improve older, colored pennants but it's not usually a huge improvement. Another lesson is I just learned is I can't figure out how to format bullet points! :p |

I'm extremely happy to have picked up this three quarter size "batter and bridge' pennant. The full size versions are extremely common. There are probably 10-20 for sale on ebay at any given time. This is the first 3/4 I've ever seen. I have a similar 3/4, but it is not an exact replica of the full size. It's interesting that I've never seen one of these - the silk screen would have had to have been completely different i.e. they didn't just print full size graphics on a smaller pennant. It also appears this one never had color, other than the shoes. I've looked at it closely and I don't think it's a case of the color just fading out. BTW - do we know who made these left handed batter pennants?

I just noticed, too, that the "F" used on the 3/4's is a "hybrid" of the F's used on the full sized versions. The minutiae never ends!

Those San Fran Pennants would look great on display. Just curious how do most pennants get displayed that are shown in this thread? |
