May 26, 1935 St Louis Browns lineup card. Browns lost to the Red Sox 8-7.

Not many notable players on the Browns at that time, with the exception of an elderly Rogers Hornsby, who was a player/manager.

Signed by Hornsby.

Lineup card from the day Manny Ramirez was called up the Majors. He was supposed to start at DH but arrived to the ballpark just before game time and Mike Hargrove reconsidered. He would make his debut the next day.

Jesse Barfield MLB debut

I shared these around 6 months ago, but sharing them again in light of the awful news that Rickey Henderson has passed away.

Hard to believe that someone so charismatic and full of life is gone at such a young age, but of course, life does not make that sort of promise.

Ending off 2024 with a World Series lineup card.

It's been a slow project that I will never complete, but I've been trying to acquire a lineup card from every World Series. Up to 19 at this time.

CC Sabathia's MLB debut lineup card

Bob Forch pitches the first no-hitter at home for the Cardinals in over 50 years and the first no-hitter at Busch Memorial Stadium (he would go on to pitch the only other no-hitter at the stadium as well).

I was told that Forch is the only Cardinals pitcher ever to throw 2 no-hitters.

Lou Brock passes Billy Hamilton for the stolen base record.

Full story is a fascinating perspective into baseball records. No one knew that Brock was setting the record in this game, and Brock had been celebrated for breaking Ty Cobb's mark (despite him never actually holding the record).

Ryan faces Aaron for the final time game used dugout card
 

Recently back from the framer, I finally completed a project that I have been contemplating for quite a while.

This is the game used dugout card from the June 15th, 1976 game in which HOF Nolan Ryan faced HOF great Hank Aaron for the final time.
Aaron came into the game as a pinch hitter late in the game and was fanned by the All-Time Strikeout King Nolan Ryan (5,714 career strikeouts).
Ryan pitches a 2-hit shutout with 9 K's and defeats the Brew Crew 1-0.
An epic last duel involving two MLB greats. :cool:
Ironically, Aaron also faced Nolan Ryan in his ML debut game on 9/11/66 and flied out.
Original period-correct snapshots of The Express and Hammerin' Hank wearing a Milwaukee Brewers uniform in his final season in the MLB.

This dugout card was loaned to the (now closed) Ryan Center museum in Alvin, TX in 1999 (Ryan's HOF Induction Year).
The red placard was created for the display by the Ryan Center.
Aaron signed the dugout card IP for me back in the early 1990's at a signing in So Cal.
Nolan signed the card as well before returning it to me in 2002 after being on display for 4 years.

Many thanks to net54 good-guy Gary Scamehorn for allowing me to complete this project by finding the Aaron Brewers snapper that I had been searching for. :D

October 2, 1974 would be Hank Aaron's final game for the Braves. During the offseason, he would be traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. While he had played his entire career for the Braves, the trade was a return to his baseball home, as the Braves had been in Milwaukee for the first 12 years of his career before moving to Atlanta.

In the 7th inning of the game, Hank Aaron stepped up to the plate. With the bases empty and one out, Aaron would hit one final homerun, sending the ball over the left field fence. He would round the bases for his 733rd home run and his 3600th career hit, 2202nd career RBI and 2107th run. After the inning, he was removed from the game. This would be his final at-bat for the Braves.

While Aaron does not have the distinction of playing his entire career with one team, his performance for the Braves is firmly established at the peak of what one player has accomplished on a single team:

- 733 home runs - Most all-time for one team
- 2202 RBI - Most all-time for one team
- 3600 hits - 3rd most all-time for one team (behind just Ty Cobb and Stan Musial
- 2107 runs - 2nd all-time for one team (behind Ty Cobb)
- 11628 at-bats - 2nd all-time for one team (behind Carl Yastrzemski)
- 142.7 WAR (BR) - 3rd most all-time for one team (behind Walter Johnson and Willie Mays

This lineup card originates from Braves manager Clyde King's personal collection.

August 31, 1990. Ken Griffey Sr & Jr play together on the same time, marking the first time in baseball history that a father and son player were together in the same lineup.

As those who follow this thread know, I love lineup cards. It's an area I have been researching and collecting for many years. And throughout that time, I have almost never sold or traded a lineup card of major significance.

Recent circumstances in my personal life have led to the decision to sell some major pieces. Those include Ripken and Brett's 3000th hit game. Frank Thomas, Pedro Martinez and CC Sabathia's MLB debuts. WS clinching lineup cards from 1981 (Dodgers), 1999 (Yankees) and 2018 (Red Sox). And milestone games from Griffey (400th HR), Bonds (700th HR), Henderson (final career SB) and Billy Wagner (1st career save).

These items are all available in the current Heritage Auction. If anyone has interest in these items, I hope you consider bidding.
