Mike all good.

Chris did REA make a smaller paperback book for Chuck or does everything just look small in his hands?

Marty I agree love the REA app! It even tells you which items are stolen at a glance which of course is most all of the items in the catalog etc. :)

atx840 04-10-2014 12:17 PM

John, it is in fact an optical illusion...Chuck has a habit of bending light when he's bored.

edriskill 04-10-2014 01:57 PM

I am STILL waiting in Virginia. I was told delivery could take up to 10 days. Oh my. Heard a horse outside my door this morning, thought it was here. But no

t206blogcom 04-10-2014 02:02 PM

I got mine 2-3 days ago and I'm only half way through it.

edriskill 04-10-2014 02:06 PM

I know others in Va. that have also received the catalog. And I do not live in the woods without a mailbox.

That's funny Kenny. I live about 100 yards off of the Oregon Trail/Pony Express route in Wyoming (I can see the old wagon ruts at my mail box). Maybe one of my two copies was yours! :D

I heard Chuck will roundhouse kick deliver any catalogs that have not yet been received.

Cardboard Junkie 04-17-2014 05:54 PM

No catalog in Hawai'i yet.:(

BlueSky 04-17-2014 06:22 PM

I have made a couple of requests for a catalog. Still a no show in Maryland. :(:(:(

I Only Smoke 4 the Cards 04-18-2014 09:59 AM

Still no catalog despite contacting REA.

edriskill 04-20-2014 12:44 PM

Still waiting in Virginia. Looks like I am not the only one.

kdixon 04-20-2014 05:11 PM

Still waiting in Missouri...Pony Express needs to update horses.

Rich Klein 04-20-2014 05:35 PM

I forgot to add, Rob sent me 2 magnets so if someone local in DFW wants one, just let me know

Koufax32fan 04-23-2014 07:19 PM

I did get mine in St. Louis on Monday. No magnet, but it feels like my eyeballs are constantly being pulled towards the pages. It is so much nicer to see the catalog than to review it online.

I Only Smoke 4 the Cards 04-24-2014 06:49 AM

Received my REA catalog directly from the company yesterday. The copy from the printer is still MIA.

kdixon 04-24-2014 05:12 PM

Got my catalog today....hope people who want to bid on my ball have received one...lol

edriskill 04-24-2014 08:34 PM

Still waiting and hoping.

After seeing this thread I ordered one, probably a week ago. It arrived yesterday. Fantastic!!

SmokyBurgess 04-25-2014 08:09 AM

no arrival yet

Have lost all hope here in central N.C.

Got last years catalog out and went through it to ease the pain.

This is as bad as getting dumped by Kate Upton!

I Only Smoke 4 the Cards 04-25-2014 08:14 AM

I would suggest contacting REA directly. I sent them a message a couple weeks after other people received theirs and they shipped me one directly. They said I would probably receive another one from the printer but it has yet to arrive.

I'll same day express mail you my catalog if you have Kate Upton to trade!! :D

spacktrack 04-25-2014 08:33 AM

Hi Everyone,

To this point, all catalogs have been mailed, except for those requested in the past day. By now, all catalogs should have arrived to anyone on our permanent mailing list, anyone who requested catalogs during the early part of the auction, and anyone who let us know their catalog did not arrive during the initial mailing. We have sent many catalogs directly from our office to ensure they are mailed and received in a timely fashion. When you send out as many catalogs as we do, there are bound to be some that go missing or do not arrive. We have found that there is usually a good explanation (incorrect address, unable to forward, etc.).

If you have not received a catalog yet and would like one, please e-mail us at info@robertedwardauctions.com with your name and mailing address. We will send you one immediately. We appreciate everyone's interest in the catalog and it is our pleasure to send them out!

As a reminder, the auction ends tomorrow, Saturday April 26. All initial bids must be in by 9 PM EST. If you'd like to register to bid, you can sign up on our website.

If you have any questions, we are working around the clock and can be reached by e-mail or phone (908-226-9900).

Good luck to all buying and selling in the auction, and thank you again for all your interest!

Brian

100 Bids an hour now, not a bad pace.

(Hi Brian!)

I Only Smoke 4 the Cards 04-25-2014 02:12 PM

Brian,

Thanks for mailing me a catalog. You handled the situation very promptly and professionally.

Alex

shammus 04-26-2014 12:37 PM

Can someone remind me when the auction ended last year?

atx840 04-26-2014 12:55 PM

4:00 PM EDT, May 18, 2013
3:06AM EDT, May 19th I received a fair warning auction would be closing soon.

This year it lists 9:00pm as closing.

Thanks chris, that helps....I guess if the fair warning went out at 3:06, then the auction was probably done by 3:30 EDT.

I don't think this years auction will close at 9pm....heh. That's probably the deadline for initial bids :)

scooter729 04-26-2014 01:23 PM

Last year actually ended around 4:45 AM. I remember waking up early, seeing it was still open, trying to place a bid and missed my chance by a few seconds.

shammus 04-26-2014 01:27 PM

Thanks Scott, was that eastern time?

spacktrack 04-26-2014 01:39 PM

Just to clarify the ending process for those wondering:

9 PM EST is the deadline for initial bids to be placed. You must have an initial bid placed on any item you wish to pursue during extended bidding.

At 9 PM EST, extended bidding begins and the ENTIRE auction will stay open until no bids have been received on any item for a period of 15 minutes.

We encourage everyone to use the Recent Bids feature tonight to get an idea of the action as the night progresses.

http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/recentbids.aspx

As many can attest, it's a great way to see what's getting bid on and to gauge the activity level. If bids are coming in at 100 per 5 minutes, then the auction is clearly still in full swing. If they start slowing down to 5 minutes between bids, then the auction is clearly slowing down and could close soon.

After 12 AM EST (midnight), we may close the auction any time without reference to the 15 minute rule. Historically, the auction has stayed open until after 3 AM EST (including past 4 AM EST last year), but there is uncertainty after 12 AM EST (midnight).

We encourage everyone to consider using the Honest Auto Bid system to leave bids as it gets later in the evening.

For more information on the auction closing and raising or lowering autobids, please go to our website:

http://blog.robertedwardauctions.com...1&preview=true

We're in the office all day and night if anyone has questions.

Good luck to all!

Brian

Yikes!!! I'll hang in there until 2:00am but that's it.

Good luck to all except those thinking of bidding on MY lot. :D

bobbyw8469 04-26-2014 07:54 PM

They can have my lot.....no value there anymore.

the 'stache 04-26-2014 08:32 PM

Welp, I'm out on lot 400. If it had managed to stay below $1,000 before closing night, I'd have made one last bid. But $1,305 including the juice is just too much for those 4 cards, as much as I like them.

I'll just have to console myself with my new Johnson portrait. I'm just looking to find one I like. :D

So far, so good. Check out the T206 Cobb with the Ty Cobb back!!!

MattyC 04-26-2014 10:00 PM

My biggest (and happiest) surprise is the PSA 4 e90-2 Wags busting out to 9600 right now with the juice. I adore this card and am bummed to be out of the bidding, but also happy for the card itself. I always thought it should break out one day and gain even more stature than it has. I had hopes of getting a few at one point, but as Austin Powers would say, "That train has sailed." Will be happy now with my one and only example.

MyGuyTy 04-26-2014 10:05 PM

Already gave up on the only two I was going after. Thought it was gonna finally be a realistic closing night as I went WAY beyond what they would sell anywhere else......then the "REAness" reared it's head yet again

MattyC 04-26-2014 10:07 PM

REAness. I love that. I read it like the REALNESS, LOL. Good stuff.

Rob, it's up to $130k now. Nice!

Joe_G. 04-27-2014 01:34 AM

McGreachery Old Judge now at $110k, just over $130k after buyers premium. This is the highest auction price I've seen for an OJ although an Anson in Uniform would easily eclipse it.

spacktrack 04-27-2014 02:44 AM

Fair warning...We do not anticipate the auction to continue beyond 5 AM EST (15 minutes from now). This is the absolute LAST CALL for bidding! The auction will close without notice! We don’t want anyone who is planning to bid to be shut out! We recommend bidders leave maximum left bids utilizing Robert Edward Auctions’ “Honest Auto-Bid” system to avoid disappointment.

Thank you for your participation!

sb1 04-27-2014 03:04 AM

Did it just close or did it crash, the site is not responding?

Runscott 04-27-2014 03:05 AM

I think Rob pulled the plug on the server. He really should let Brian turn off the software.
