Great pick-ups, Peter.

thanks guys
They're really special cards for me. Especially Kelly. I still don't believe I own a card of him. Plus I just.finished reading his book Stories of the Diamond Field written in 1888 or so. McFarland Press version. pretty interesting read.
Thanks again for the kind words. love the cabinets |

Great cards. Peter, and thanks again for the Coupon wrapper.
Here's my haul from Heritage...(I'm going to start a post on Saturday about why I believe Pifer & Becker was the photography studio that made the images for the Just So cards.) Also, many thanks to Mark (BMarlowe) for his expert ID of the Souby Shorty Fuller cabinet. The recent Heritage was a fun auction.... Picked these up recently-I am debating putting together the 1911 Obak set; after selling most of my prewar stuff I could not part with the handful of Obaks I own so I guess that little voice in my head was chirping....

Not often do I get schoolgirl giddy over a card, but I collect crop mark T206's and I was looking for a centerpiece to the collection, most are commons and half lines, but a few days ago I picked up this bad boy on ebay and couldn't be happier! Someone at the factory missed low and wide on the cut and 104 years later, that made my day :D
If you're looking for a low grade T206 Young/Bare PM me, I'll be selling my old one BTW, If you read the "know you're addicted thread", this is the card I bought right after I decided $6 was too much to spend on lunch and went to Dunkin Donuts instead :) |
Rob--great Dog's Head. Those are are really scarce.
|
Neat crop mark.

I received my first horizontal Matty... a card I've eyed ever since seeing it on the board for the first time shortly after joining. Attachment 100456 |
First submission....A big thank you to John (Wonka) for hand delivering these to SGC. Pints are on me in Chicago....I think Jennings had a few already.
Quite happy with the results, a couple 1/1s and several highest graded. Here are a few. http://i.imgur.com/kdrDHkI.jpg |
Jennings
How did Jennings mysteriously jump out of his "coffin" and land diagonally on your scan??? Now that's a variation nobody has!!!
|
Great cards Chris! Ummmm Jennings....time for the ol desk tap or back to SGC.
Happy to have been able to help. Cheers, John |
Great cards Chris!
|
Nice cards chris
|
Jason, Erick and Ian thanks for the kind words. That horizontal Matty is a beauty as well, Ian.
|
I thought you guys knew your stuff...
That's the exceedingly rare diagonal Jennings...nice card!!!
|
Nice, iconic card, Ian! Looks like the crease only runs along the right side of the card (near his name) and doesn't affect the image at all. Sharp card!
...then, after posting I click "next page" and see Chris' post.... HOLY $#!%!!! Nice, Chris! |
Nice Chris.. !!
