Good luck to all except those thinking of bidding on MY lot. :D

You too, Rob. I hope you get what you're bidding on. :)

So far, so good. Check out the T206 Cobb with the Ty Cobb back!!!

My biggest (and happiest) surprise is the PSA 4 e90-2 Wags busting out to 9600 right now with the juice. I adore this card and am bummed to be out of the bidding, but also happy for the card itself. I always thought it should break out one day and gain even more stature than it has. I had hopes of getting a few at one point, but as Austin Powers would say, "That train has sailed." Will be happy now with my one and only example.

MyGuyTy 04-26-2014 10:05 PM

Already gave up on the only two I was going after. Thought it was gonna finally be a realistic closing night as I went WAY beyond what they would sell anywhere else......then the "REAness" reared it's head yet again

MattyC 04-26-2014 10:07 PM

REAness. I love that. I read it like the REALNESS, LOL. Good stuff.

Rob, it's up to $130k now. Nice!

Joe_G. 04-27-2014 01:34 AM

McGreachery Old Judge now at $110k, just over $130k after buyers premium. This is the highest auction price I've seen for an OJ although an Anson in Uniform would easily eclipse it.

spacktrack 04-27-2014 02:44 AM

Fair warning...We do not anticipate the auction to continue beyond 5 AM EST (15 minutes from now). This is the absolute LAST CALL for bidding! The auction will close without notice! We don’t want anyone who is planning to bid to be shut out! We recommend bidders leave maximum left bids utilizing Robert Edward Auctions’ “Honest Auto-Bid” system to avoid disappointment.

Thank you for your participation!

sb1 04-27-2014 03:04 AM

Did it just close or did it crash, the site is not responding?

Runscott 04-27-2014 03:05 AM

I think Rob pulled the plug on the server. He really should let Brian turn off the software.

spacktrack 04-27-2014 03:08 AM

Momentary outage in some areas....back up now but still closing imminently.

sb1 04-27-2014 03:16 AM

the 'stache 04-27-2014 03:16 AM

wonkaticket 04-27-2014 03:19 AM

Is REA closing tonight?

spacktrack 04-27-2014 03:20 AM

All done. Thank you to all who bought, sold, and just watched the auction unfold.

Invoices are now finalized and available online in your account. We will not send hard copy invoices so please check your account on our website. Shipping is free (with the exception of international shipments and unusually large or heavy items--charges for those will be invoiced in the coming days as we calculate costs based on location).

We start writing consignment checks Monday, so if you have any special instructions, please let us know immediately.

Thank you again!

Another fun night in the chat, congrats on a great auction guys.

prestigecollectibles 04-27-2014 03:24 AM

Great auction, glad I was able to win a couple of lots.

oldjudge 04-27-2014 03:25 AM

Great auction guys!

btcarfagno 04-27-2014 04:09 AM

Woke up to see I had won two lots. A bit shocked as bargains were not a-plenty in this one.

Me too (won two lots), although neither were bargains. That's okay, both are likely "one-of-a-kind" pre-rookie cabinets, so I can't complain!!

Received the dreaded "Outbid Notice" email at 5:05am on the only lot I was going for :( :( :( :(

MattyC 04-27-2014 08:22 AM

The D304 Cobb went as nuts as the e90-2 Wags. That Cobb was another card I was rooting for. Congrats to the winners.

honus94566 04-27-2014 08:26 AM

Really annoyed, woke up this morning to find out I had been outbid on the only lot I was going for. I'd put in an auto bid that was really quite high, I had been certain it would hold up. Such is REA I guess :)

Outbid on two lots. :(

The sun still came up this morning however.

bwbc917 04-27-2014 08:53 AM

5AM or later

Looks like most of us go to bed and get up to see if we won. ( I lost out overnight). I'm wondering who the hardcore folks are that stick it out until the wee hours. OR are there a horde of buyers in Asia/Australia?

lug-nut 04-27-2014 05:37 PM

at least some of you guys got to go to bed winning...i went to bed out bid on all 3 of my items

the juice and auto-bid increments really took me out of the game

edriskill 04-27-2014 09:53 PM

I feel like I was a winner. Received my catalog Saturday.

If you look at the 'recent bids' list, noting the times of the bids and when the 'fair warning' and 'end is eminent' emails went out, you'll see that a lot of people lost out on some really huge items because of bids that were thrown in after the auction very well could have ended. There really isn't too much rhyme or reason to it.

I showed the above to my girlfriend and her assessment was immediately that a lot of those bidders were drinking.
