Amazing.. didn't know t213-3 overprint Cobb was that rare. 1 of 1!

-3 Overprints are wicked rare. In fact, I think most are 1 of 1s.

Reading from a couple years ago on this thread where someone mentioned if posters were ever made or quality prints for framing they would buy one...put me in that as well. The red of the cards off the black background...and just the fact it's basically porn for us collectors, would just POP. Post a link if that's ever for sale!!!

Anyone seen this picture of Cobb? They said it was Cobb, but I can't tell for sure and there was no info about where this play took place or when.

That's Cobb in 1912 at Bennett Park, not sure who the catcher is.

That looks like it could be "career ending", or at least end the catchers chance of having kids. :eek:

That's Cobb's version of "take a knee".

This is one of the most impressive and visually breathtaking accomplishments I've ever seen in the hobby. Amazing! Cooperstown would be lucky to have a collection like this on display. And sign me up for a print too if you ever decide to have them made, I'll make the wall space for it :)

Now, I'm pretty certain that the T215 "PIRATE" set does not have a red Cobb.
In fact, I do not think there is any Cobb in this set of 96-subjects.

Is there a known T206 red Cobb with an F. Scott Fitzgerald back stamp? Wish me luck at auction, gang. I don't even know which cards to go for.

I was told there's a Cobb missing color(s) card out there, but wasn't sure it was just an orange background Cobb or what colors were missing. Or it was just the one missing the glossy finish.

I'm aware of a faded red Cobb, but that's all.

Well from your post, I would suggest one of the Coupons or the Victory.

Not a T206, but, seller notwithstanding, I thought this was not a bad buy. Perfect grade, interesting backstory. I thought it would go for more.

PWCC is a name you can trust. LOL that's why it sold at that price. ;)

In a day when mid grade 48 Leaf Robinsons are selling for $20K, 50K for that card seemed reasonable.

Looks like the Cobb run is being sold through Heritage, will be fun to watch, good luck Jamie!
