You guys are way too fast! I was looking forward to contributing to the thread by showing off my only T206 (Joss Pitching). Maybe I'll have another T206 in my possession by the time we reach Z... Keep 'em comin'!
|
Bryan, I know what you mean. I have a Merkle to post, but I'm afraid we'll be up to Pelty before I get the chance. :(

On the assumption that you one good Willie deserves another ...
Attachment 106104Attachment 106105 No that's not a stain on the plastic, that's a genuine ST on the card! Why it was not recognized I have no clue. But I'm glad they missed on this one. BOB |
Clayton...nothing's, "messed up." The Net54 virtual T206 set is coming along nicely. This is thanks, in no small measure, to your contributions...and I sincerely thank you for them.
Bryan...I have also noticed that things are moving at a fast clip lately. Please feel free to edit your post (#242) and show off your Addie Joss. As previously noted, duplicates are more than welcome here...and, if it's your only T206card...go ahead and add it to the set. I, for one, would love to see it. After all, I just picked up a Joss on the B/S/T..it just became my new favorite card. :) Sean...Why not call dibs on Merkle? As for Pelty, I have a Tolstoi that might make its way into this thread. All things considered, though, I am leaning towards asking everyone to give me a moment to post my Nick Maddox. It was my first T206. To everyone else...thank you very much for all of your contributions. I truly appreciate them. Here are the next ten cards, everyone. Let's keep 'em coming! - Ed Killian (portrait) - Frank King - Rube Kisinger - Red Kleinow (Boston) - Red Kleinow (New York, catching) - Red Kleinow (New York, with bat) - Johnny Kling - Otto Knabe - Jack Knight (portrait) - Jack Knight (with bat) Best Regards, Eric |

I agree with Clayton...throw them all up there. A Merkle post with both fronts and every back you have. Show 'em if you got 'em, so to speak. I will do my best moderating the thread to ensure this happens. Best Regards, Eric |

Wonka…your Kisinger and Kleinow cards are two of the few that (in my opinion) correctly show the tobacco advertisements as the front. And your Jack Knight is amazing! Awesome cards, sir. I thank you very much for adding them to the set.
Jason…I love the Kleinow PB cards…the Konetchy additions are splendid…your post with Kroh, Kruger, and LaFitte were tremendously well-timed…and the Lake is almost like looking through a loupe…thank you, for everything. Caine…The Sov 350 Kling is greatly appreciated, as are the AB Konetchy and Krause cards…thanks for adding them. Frank, my friend…your contributions to this thread have been tremendous, and I am grateful for all of your help. Your recent posts with Knabe, Knight, and Lake, along with your wit, have made this journey very rewarding. Bob…kudos to you for helping to keep the train rolling down the tracks. I sincerely thank you for this. And, your Lajoie trifecta was superb…great post! Mark…that Krause portrait is a beauty and I appreciate you weighing in here at a crucial point in time. Tony…welcome to the thread; and thanks for your contribution of the Lajoie portrait. That is one stunning piece of cardboard you have there. Erick…I continue to be appreciative of your contributions here. Thank you for posting the other two Lajoie cards. Clayton…I love this thread, too. Thank you so much for everything you have done to keep the Net54 virtual T206 set going. Let’s keep ‘em coming, everyone. Have a great weekend…and happy collecting. |

Caine…there’s no need to apologize. Thank you very much for your great contributions. The Lionel Carter LaPorte is awesome, as are the PB Latham, AB Lattimore, Tolstoi Lennox, and OM Perry Lipe. And…the Livingstone auto…outstanding addition to the Net54 T206 set.:)
Shaun…the Lavender you posted is just fine. It is simply beautiful, in my humble opinion, actually. If you have a scan of the “better” copy you have, please edit your post (#276) and include that one, too. Clayton…I agree again with you. Everyone has posted tremendous cards in this thread. I am truly grateful that you enjoy it. Nice Leach, by the way. A very well-centered example…exactly the type of card I like. Dave…you need to quit posting so often. :D Obviously, I’m kidding. Welcome to the thread and thank you for that superb trifecta of rare back T206 cards. I sincerely appreciate you adding those to our set. Wonka...what can I say? You have been incredibly supportive of this thread, and I really appreciate it. The Sov 350 Liebhardt is gorgeous, and that Lindaman run is astounding!!! Thank you very much, for everything. Keep 'em coming, everyone. And have a great Saturday evening. Best Regards, Eric |

quite the impressive collection of Magie's there. and those Lindaman and Lundgren back runs are astounding. thanks for sharing.
though I do believe we all jumped the gun a little bit on showing the portrait pose before the batting one. to get us back in line: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-6...29+-+front.jpghttps://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-n...529+-+rear.jpg and I'd be waiting to show the pride and joy of my collection -- my Lundy. But being away abroad on travel, missed my chance in the queue. So forgive me, but I'll show it here too. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/uT...o=w409-h671-nohttps://lh4.googleusercontent.com/i7...M=w424-h671-no Thanks, --S |

Ted - You rock! Thank you for posting the Lobert, Lord, Lumley, and Lundgren cards, with all of the different backs. As usual, I appreciate your contributions.
Dave - Great cards, especially the Hindu…and the Magie. Thanks for adding them. Glad you found a thread that you enjoy. Jason T. - Another splendid Magie for the Net54 T206 set…awesome. Much appreciated. Bob - Ditto for your offering. Thank you very much for all the contributions you have made to the set. Nelson - You have a great card there, and I am grateful that you posted it. Please accept my sincerest thanks. Wonka - That Magie is absolutely, positively, amazingly, spectacularly breathtaking. Did I mention that I think it’s a great card? :D Thanks again for all of your help with this thread. It means a great deal, and I truly appreciate it. Shaun - Thanks for remembering that Sherry Magee has a batting pose and adding it to the set. I was too mesmerized by all the great portraits, I found myself unable to type…all I could do was scroll the mouse wheel and drool. Nice Lundy, by the way. Jason S. - Great Malarkey…and that’s no BS! As usual, I appreciate your contributions. Jon - Thanks for posting Maloney and Manion. Beautiful cards, crisp scans…great additions to the set. The next card will card #300 for the set…we’re well over halfway there! For those keeping score at home, here are the next nine: - Rube Manning (batting) - Rube Manning (pitching) - Rube Marquard (hands at thighs) - Rube Marquard (follow-through) - Rube Marquard (portrait) - Doc Marshall - Christy Mathewson (dark cap) - Christy Mathewson (portrait) - Christy Mathewson (white cap) Let’s keep ‘em coming, everyone! And thanks to everyone who has posted in this thread so far. I sincerely appreciate it. Best Regards, Eric |
