Great Fatima card!

Just starting to collect but picked these up recently. Non pre-war but my father collected Topps 52 when he was 9 and passed an almost full set on to me recently. I like the Mantle ; )

1923-24 Exhibit Ruth

Scott, that 1923-24 Exhibit Babe Ruth is going to make you a wealthy man some day, if you allow it to! But what sorrow upon parting with it:(:(:(:(

T206 with a President Taft Campaign Sticker "Meet us at Wilmington" dated nov 9th on the back... after some research you can see Nov 9th 1909 Taft visited Wilmington... This is prob my favorite one... the fact that it made it through all these years with an piece of American History is awesome...

This thread is mind-boggling. Three of my favorites:

bcbgcbrcb 01-15-2013 02:15 PM

Great Zeenuts, Andrew, those are two really tough ones.

BTW what team is pictured on the postcard?

Jlighter 01-15-2013 02:34 PM

Pages 8-10 are some of the best I've ever seen in a thread.

AndrewJerome 01-15-2013 02:46 PM

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the kind words. The postcard is Seattle from the NW league.

Even though I joined the board in 2011 I wasn’t as passionate a collector as I am now, so I missed so many wonderful threads; now one of my favorite things to do is search through the archives and read threads from the last 10 years.

Here’s a great one I stumbled upon and wondered if others may enjoy adding to it. My focus now is a 520-ish raw binder set comprised of the rare and unique. Here are the three I stare at the most at the moment:

Jason,

Beautiful Toy Town stamp on that Drum back. There was a time when Toy Town stamps were slightly coveted in the hobby. I believe it was on E95s or E96s back then. I have one graded by SGC that actually identifies the stamp itself on the flip.

Great trio of cards alogether.

Dad gave me the Jackie when I was 16. Always in the top 3.

Jim, that's a very nice trio! I'm probably the only Net54er whose favorite of your trio is the Tip Top bread label of Mantle.
