Not a collector of banking memorabilia but am a collector of the unusual. When I came across a new in box stack of $20 bills dye pack that would have been thrown in with robbery money I couldn't resist:D

I can see you casually handing it to someone to look at and BOOM!!! they cause it to explode. :D |
Al, those Starosta Fangios definitely do the job. Those sets had some pretty great cards in them.
Dedicate one to the ladies; I do like some pin-ups https://photos.imageevent.com/exhibi...e/Newmar_1.jpg https://photos.imageevent.com/exhibi...ize/img345.jpg Yeah the first one is Julie Newmar https://photos.imageevent.com/exhibi...ize/Newmar.jpg |

S.H Lee Original Oil Paintings
2 Attachment(s)
I've collected S H Lee paintings for many years. Unbelievable detail on some of them. They are mostly around 16 x 20 inches. These poor photos do no justice as to how they really look, as they are super detailed in person, but they give an idea. He uses a single horse hair brush!
"S.H.LEE was born in Canton, China and studied at the Fine Arts Institute of China prior to moving to the United States to further his art education and sell his artwork. Subject matter for Lee is quite varied...he paints interiors, garden scenes and still-lifes all in great detail. Rarely painting in sizes over 20 x 24, his meticulous and realistic paintings cause many people to just stare in disbelief due to the highly detailed nature of his work which is achieved by working on panels as opposed to canvas and using brushes containing a single horse hair to create fine lines and minute details." |
I have a couple of dozen signed and numbered wildlife art prints by John Seerey-Lester, Rod Frederick, Alan Hunt and Ron Parker most of which I acquired from 1986 to 1990. This beauty by Seerey-Lester induced me to start buying the prints:
https://hosting.photobucket.com/85c5...ba187eccab.jpg This bobcat was the second one: https://hosting.photobucket.com/85c5...b3c140863.webp I gifted an artist's or publisher's proof of this cougar by Seerey-Lester to my sister at Xmas one year: https://hosting.photobucket.com/85c5...387a0239d5.jpg I really like the way Seerey-Lester renders both the thickness of fur and the granular texture of snow. This one's by Rod Frederick: https://hosting.photobucket.com/85c5...bb51a3b9bf.jpg Frederick is great at rendering moody mistiness! And this one is by Alan Hunt: https://hosting.photobucket.com/85c5...2a6a9e741.jpeg Almost all of my prints are framed and hanging on some wall in my house. :) |

Here's an original Disney (Ub Iwerks) Mickey & Minnie drawing for their first film Plane Crazy (it actually pre-dates Steamboat Willie).

On-site posters and programs of 1960s heavyweight contender George Chuvalo, who was ranked in the world's top 10 for 13 years (peaking at No. 2), and is the only man to fight the "holy trinity" of Muhammad Ali (twice), Joe Frazier and George Foreman. Chuvalo retired in 1979 with a record of 73-18-2, notching 64 KOs. My collection includes posters from 33 of his fights -- including six of his nine headliners at Madison Square Garden -- and more than 40 programs ...

The better question for me is what dont i collect. I collect all of the following activity to some degree, Star Wars, US coins, Magic the gathering cards, Pokemon, sports cards of all ages, Megos many other action figure lines and comic books.
Like many others nothing ever gets fully completed because funds and time get spread out too much. James G |
