My latest order was marked "received" on 2/25....but now looking online I see that the current default has been moved to 15-20 business days for standard grading. When did this happen?

Mine arrived at their post office 2/28, was officially marked as received 3/6 and just went post grading and shipped on its way back today 3/25.

Aquarian Sports Cards 03-26-2025 04:12 AM

I have submissions received 3/7 and 3/8 which haven't moved yet.

bcbgcbrcb 03-26-2025 05:00 AM

My latest order was just about a month door to door, definitely a little longer than others over the past couple of years. In comparison, my latest PSA order just reached its 45 business day estimate and still in the Research and ID stage. Guess we shouldn’t be complaining about SGC, huh?

THe first order I mentioned above just shipped

jjbond 03-28-2025 11:50 AM

I think you lapped me. I’m on day 24 since received. But I also don’t send them the easiest cards to identify….

philliesfan 03-28-2025 01:24 PM

Day 15 for me. But I do appreciate the video of SGC explaining their delay. Now I do not have to sit and wonder why.

Submitted at show 3/22. Waiting for the “recieved” email.

raineybt 04-04-2025 11:57 AM

Bumping this back to see where other people are at. I submitted in person at the March 8th Philly show, when SGC was quoting 5-10 days turn around on grading (its why I went with SGC and not PSA). My submission continues to show "5-10 estimated business days" from a turnaround standpoint, but as it is, today is business day 20 and there's still zero movement.

Two emails into SGC asking what's going on has provided no insight beyond "yep, your cards still aren't done". No responsibility taken, no recourse, and worst (in my mind) no recognition that the primary justification to submit to SGC is based on speed of turnaround. I've not yet read the T&C's, but I'm feeling as if the service I paid a significant price for - card grading within a quoted turn around time - isn't being provided at all.

Man yells at cloud maybe, but its adding to the frustrations related to the monopolistic grading process that Collectors seems to continue to exploit.

philliesfan 04-04-2025 01:28 PM

I submitted mine at the Philly show on 03/07 and shows received 03/07. So today is day 20 for me.

Mattymc727 04-04-2025 02:10 PM

Do you guys think surges in submissions and added delays hurt or help grades?

refz 04-06-2025 09:31 AM

Curious any updates from submitting at philley in early March?

I have one order back already and another that is still just "received"

StraightRaceCards 04-06-2025 05:36 PM

I’m at 15 days after submitting on 3/14 at the Dallas show

Hoping the 20 days mean I get cards by next Friday

Yeah, my receipt from 2/12 states "5-10 days". And now this is business day #30 since it was marked received.

I'd email....but I don't want to bog down their time responding to pointless emails instead of getting to the actual grading...

Cory 04-10-2025 10:33 AM

How long

After entering "post grading" before you typically get grades?

jjbond 04-16-2025 07:25 PM

Business day #38. I did end up emailing, and got a generic reply stating that "certain orders involve cards that require a bit more in-depth research to ensure they are accurately identified and meet the SGC Guarantee."

Granted....my orders often fall into this category. But I usually see *some* movement as items get shifted around, marked "do not grade," etc.

refz 04-22-2025 07:20 AM

I am a month in today (22 business days) from when I handed them my cards at a show on March 22. Dead in the water status

Smanzari 04-22-2025 07:22 AM

Today is Business Day #19 for my 18-Card Order, and it looks like it just went to Post-Grading; I'm guessing It'll ship this afternoon or tomorrow. FWIW- the estimate was 5-10 days when I sent these.

MJRaider 04-22-2025 07:28 AM

Business day #24, still sitting as Received. I really don't like where this is likely headed for the hobby.

A SGC Facebook Group posted yesterday that they are receiving too many posts about SGC delays and have banned those posts for the time being. Is it really that bad?

I get the sense that yes, it is getting bad. Just no clue how SGC lets this happen given everything that has gone on in the last 12 months. But by God let's run a greedy promo in the midst of all this, be at every major show, and proceed to make it all wor$e.

Kutcher55 04-22-2025 08:22 AM

This is what happens when people send one crappy card after another that shouldn't be graded. If I see one more 69 Clemente in an SGC 3 holder I'm gonna puke!

SGC isn't capable of handling PSA's runoff from now taking 65-75 business days. The holding company has clearly decided to not increase staff at either to handle demand despite huge submission numbers, so the customer will suffer, and we'll continue to see amazing craftsmanship such as this...

An SGC 3 Clemente is perfectly fine. Those are cards that collectors still want. It’s the 2025 shiny crap that is holding up the line. SGC Shouldn’t touch anything in a year that begins with a two.

bcbgcbrcb 04-22-2025 10:28 AM

Even a two month turnaround time is light years ahead of PSA. Guess we should be thankful, huh?

I just finished telling a friend of mine the same thing.

Mine's been all over the map. Sometimes it's 2-3 days, even though I've been told that's long/not typical. Once it was longer than that and I had to reach out. I think it's only ever been shorter than two days one time.

I have an order there now and it has been in post-grading for two days and counting. I was part of the 5-10 business-day times and on Day 22 overall since received.

I'm finally on day 2 of post-grading. Tomorrow will be Day 43 overall.
(and a few of mine they chose not to grade....part of me wonders if that was because it'd take more time to do so...)

ClementeFanOh 04-23-2025 06:22 PM

SGC processing

SGC took a handful of cards from me at the Strongsville show, which were
back at their offices on April 11. I paid at the $15/card for 15-20 day
turnaround rate. I won't mind if they are a day or two off when the time
comes. It would be a bad thing if it gets to the "Will I even be alive when
these cards arrive at my home?" stage- that's PSA's claim to fame.

This is the first SGC order I've had in a while where they actually graded everything. I usually have one or two that they don't.

The time I was stuck in post-grading hell, they told me it was because a few of the cards were odd shapes and required special cuts. Fingers crossed that I'm out of post-grading tomorrow.

ValKehl 04-23-2025 10:26 PM

I gave SGC 17 cards at the Chantilly Show on April 5th. The SGC rep mentioned that it might be well into May before I got my cards back. Especially as there were some "unusual" cards in my sub, I told the rep, "no problem," because accuracy is more important than speed to me.

refz 04-24-2025 04:22 AM

My order is complete and shipping back to me. They must have saw my post 2 days ago haha j/k.. very pleased overall with my order, except for one shocker. My order was 30 standard cards, mostly pre war. I threw in a 1980 Topps Henderson rc and it came up as counterfeit.. why anyone would counterfeit this card or anything 1980s is beyond me. The card looked mint-ish to my eye and was hoping for a 8 or 9

Hope everyone else waiting starts to see some movement

vintagebaseballcardguy 04-24-2025 05:49 AM

I had a group of 18 check in yesterday. Now I guess we'll see what happens.

Looks like my cards will end up coming back Saturday.

So 30 business days, or 6 weeks.

Honestly, still much faster than PSA and the grades came back better than expected, so no complaints here.

Hoping they will improve their times after the special that ran, but I’m re-setting my expectations to 4-6 weeks for now.

It's because that card is worth a boatload in a PSA 10. It's exponentially worth more than others in the set. Collectors are always looking for high-grade examples of it. In a 10, it's worth six figures.

ldrunner27 04-25-2025 11:50 AM

Cards dropped off March 23 at the White Plains show, just got into post-grading today.

JamesGallo 04-26-2025 11:09 PM

My cards were received 3-20 graded 4-16 and sitting in post since. Not sure if the blanket is holding up the order or what🤷🏻 just 6 cards total.

3/25/25 received, 4/22/25 graded and arriving back on Monday. Hopefully they can ride this wave and get back to their bread and butter.
