So many great submissions... would have been interesting to ask each of us to pick only one as “the” best looking, most beautifully designed, and/or favorite looking card you have ever seen.

Maybe someone more clever than me could do an NCAA like tournament using the N54 poll system to have a vote off... the top 64, seeded based on input on this thread to choose MOST BEAUTIFUL BASEBALL CARD EVER PRODUCED (according to Net54baseball)

Thx for all of the ideas.... (I’ll bet I’m not the only one who has now added dozens of new cards to my want list)

Sorry if this has been done before, but I’d love to see your nominations for “the perfect card”

In your opinion, which card is the most beautiful ever produced?

Bonus points to include images.

Here’s are some of my aves:

Was the hat airbrushed? That's so awesome

Scrolling though this thread has been like walking through the greatest baseball card museum! Love that it's everyone's personal cards and the variety from priceless to common. Thanks for posting!

Someone posted the original photo used on the 1956 Topps artwork for the Hank Aaron card. You can tell it's definitely Willie Mays and not Hank Aaron in the action photo.

Wes Westrum is sure taking his sweet ass time getting to the plate to tell Willie whether to slide or not!!

Looks like Mays was thrown out by a mile.

Naw I think he beat the tag. It's Willie Mays bro!

btw you can tell it's mays in the 56 aaron card because they had different body types. Mays was more square in the midsection.

I stand corrected. Mays was safe - at least that is what the umpired called. The play occurred on May 22, 1952 against the Cardinals. Here is a photo from a split second after the one already posted.

My Favorite of all-time!⚾️

topcat61 12-08-2020 11:17 AM

I nominate the 1933 Goudey Gehringer followed by the 1941 Play Ball Kirby Higbe and 1953 Bowman Warren Spahn. Cards are like art so it is subjective, but there are so many really nice sets and individual cards out there.
