Ed Hearn's brother Tom was my old neighbor. I had no idea for the longest time that his brother was Ed Hearn. We went to a Husker basketball game and at halftime the conversations steered towards major league baseball and I mentioned how much I hated the 1986 New York Mets (I'm a lifelong Red Sox fan). That's when I learned his brother was on that team. :D

Getting TTM successes was my favorite part of my project. When I started, there were 45 players alive and signing, and I got all of them except George Spencer, who died before I could write to him. I wish I'd started earlier, when there were more of them still around. It's been a lot of fun watching you all build your sets; keep them coming!

Eddie Whitson around 2005/2006 was my first TTM failure - Unsigned in SASE with no explanation. So, a decade later I decide to try him again, this time sending a 1987 Topps and I got it signed today.

I also got Larry Andersen c/o the Phillies.
