Phil,
Thanks. The image is strong and I got it for what I thought was a fair price. Jeff |
Best card for 2013

Tough to pick one card, but the rarest card I acquired this year is a Tom Needham Plow Boy Tobacco card.
Other favorite pickups this year include: a Tom Needham T207, a John Tiedemann T209, a Jimmy Archer T222, and a Claude Berry 1910 Obak (150 Subjects.) I'd like to again thank Ted Z for the T209 and Mike P. for trading the Archer Fatima T222! Happy Holidays! Patrick |

Not Pre-War, but this '51 Bowman Mays was my favorite pick up of the year.
Attachment 125491 Other favorites would be Big Ed... Attachment 125492 Smiling George Weaver... Attachment 125496 ... and my favorite new stash this year were the 9 signed Diamond Stars HOFers I picked up on the board... all as clean or cleaner than the Mr Dickey posted here.. as well as other signed pre-war Attachment 125494Attachment 125500Attachment 125499 I could probably add 10-15 more "favorite"(s) of the year, but will cut myself off now.:D |

One of few I acquired this year.

Whatta year for ya, Ian! I like 'em all, but the Mays really stands out for me. Other than him being a Giant, it's a really nice card ;)

It was a good T205 year or me.

Great Mays Ian! ;)

Love the K-Bats - great image on it!

My best add this year was the Chase, but my favorites of 2013 are the Knight, and Manning ABs!
All in all a fun year, and looking forward to an even better 2014! http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/...ps85fbad63.jpghttp://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4b29b0db.jpg http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/...psfbd5e87b.jpghttp://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2ad6ce40.jpghttp://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/...psdbb2b723.jpghttp://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3c10fde2.jpg |

Figured I would revive this thread once more with a card I didn't even think to bid on until 3 minutes before the auction was over. I decided I liked it quite late in the auction, fortunately won it, and now it's one of my faves...(if cdv's are cards?)

Since we're reviving this thread with additional favorites, I'll add this.

Love that one, Leon. Cards, like beauty, are in the eyes of the beholder.

A little of OT because I don't play favorites among the cards. I have had a couple of multiple purchases, however, I have enjoyed with both having a Pittsburgh connection. One is before WWII and one post WWII:
