12 cards horizontally, as Ted said, makes sense. I've known him to be right occasionally.

Terrific timing to bump this thread.
Sheet numbers remind me of several people, all represented in this thread, but I was just thinking about one of them yesterday when I was thinking about the upcoming Chicago National (where I first met him in 2015 after months of pms): Jantz. Jantz, we still miss you buddy. Time to update the list too - nothing new, but a bit more info added: (All are factory 30 unless noted)
Weird thing on the right side:

This has always been an interesting post to me. I don't have many Sweet Caporals but lucky enough to have a Ginger Beaumont with a Factory 30 mark. Many know that I collect all the front/back combo's and wondered if there are collectors that actually collect these cards as their own special T206 subset?

Not a new subject for a sheet number, but a new scan for this thread.

Are any theories on why the factory designation is slightly off-center to the left on Hindu backs?
Maybe some extra bit of information was axed from the right side close to production and it wasn't re-centered? |
The numbers would have been transfers like the rest of the images. all put in place by hand.
The factory numbers were almost certainly intended to be internal marks only that would be cut off when the sheet was cut. It's not likely they paid much attention to the location. |
Thanks, Steve. I was actually going slightly off-topic though. My post was referencing the full factory designation, as-pictured:

I never noticed that.
Probably just a mistake by whoever setup the back the first time. I'm trying to figure out if there's some artistic reason, but if there is it's nothing that comes to mind right off, or something I just never learned. |

Bates is a new subject, I'm pretty sure it's a factory number which would bring the
total subjects confirmed with factory 30 numbers to 27. Attachment 420402 Attachment 420403 |
Bates is new!

Picked up a new one for my collection. This one has a bigger part of the number showing than any of the others I have.
Attachment 511217 It is straighter and tilted slightly down to the right while most of the other examples are tilted down to the left like this one. Attachment 511218 |
Wish i can see those pics on this thread. Many of them are broken images :(

I was able to pick this Bres up recently - and I don't believe it appears on the list. It is also a 150 subject.
