Mike
Great 4 set of sideways guys, especially at PSA 5 or greater.

So if this were a T206 missing ink like this, I'm sure it'd be $1500. But because it's a much scarcer E92 Nadja, I get to scoop it up on eBay for only $86. How's that make sense??

Blunder19 12-13-2012 07:29 PM

You know I love these T206 freaks... Thanks Andrew

Jamie, that's awesome. Poor Fred - he's having enough trouble catching that ball without the ground shifting on him.

Runscott 12-13-2012 07:56 PM

I hope I'm not being a glutton, but Larry Fritsch had a tremendous impact on my collecting habits.

atx840 12-13-2012 08:03 PM

You own both Scott? Share the wealth :p

Another top shelf addition to your collection Jamie...congrats.

I decided to start out building the T206 Kansas City Blues set. Here's my first pick up for it, Jake Beckley.

Haha! Just another reason why you should collect T206's

Interesting point you make - any other set with missing colors or crap registration, is considered....crap.

But yours is cool.

It's my first, so I'm no expert, either.

Scott, T206s that had those problems used to be considered crap too :D

I think that was a good buy.

Not the best OJ's I have, but I needed the Brouthers to get to 26 of 28 1887 Detroit team set. Still need Ganzel 179-2 493 catch at shoulder and Twitchell 468-2 490 Pitch at chest to complete this team set.

The Goodfellow card in middle from Jay. The Brouthers and Griffith from Legendary

After a very long drought of not picking up any of these purple number backstamps, a board member picked one up for me at a card show and contacted me when he got back. He asked if I wanted it. Um, yes please.

My newest T206 Purple Number Backstamp.

Thanks a lot,

AndyH

Hi Babe. Lookin good after all these years.

A couple new ones, including my first 1915 CJ (previous 3 were '14). It seems like not many action photos on prewar cards show the player smiling. Looks like Zach had fun when playing the game (and who wouldn't? :) ).

Mikehealer 12-15-2012 10:13 AM

Picked up my 40th different Evers, these postcards look so much better in hand.
Images are really crisp and clear.

Picked up this cool RPPC. The first pitch ever thrown out at Swayne Field. Toledo Mud Hens pitcher and 3 x 20 game winner Frank Owen throws out the first pitch to a Columbus batter.

I'm fairly confident somewhere in the infield is HOFer Joe McCarthy. He played 128 games for the Mud Hens in 1909.

Picked up a Colgan's Chips Reulbach and a Fan Craze Reulbach to go with my Carl Horner Type 1 photo of him. I just need a T204 Ramly to complete it.

Exciting New Find by The PSA ID Verification Specs Guys

http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/204295...GOUDEY_NEW.JPG.................................................. .................................................. ............................................
I don't know how they found out that I so enjoy collecting all the variations and different types of a particular issue ; I think it's great that they went out of their way to create this one-of-one Fine Pen Type Three ( borderless )for me .
In their defense however , they spelled his name correctly . And the pile of vouchers grows yet higher...................

I think these are from the big baseball collage in the Huggins and Scott Auction. This is my 3rd E104-3 Nadja Tom Jones. Same old story, doesn't even surprise me, and as the famous Tom Jones singer would say "It's Not Unusual".

You also need an E95, and since all those are cards except for the Horner photo, you need to sell me the photo to make your collection more 'pure'.

Ah, yes, an excellent day to express our gun enthusiasm. Well done sir! Shall we arm only the teachers or the 5 year olds as well? Happy holidays!

Great cards..I really like the Blanke-Wennekers........I could sure use a type 3 with a Nadja back for a good price....if anyone knows where one is!!

Arming teachers! What a great idea! If only the rest of the country could make such an informed (not short sighted or insane) decision!

Merriest of Christmases, sir!

Merriest of Christmases, sir!

So this is the last post with this kind of nonsense in it. Whether anyone started it or not, it's done now. It is truly a sad time for America with the great tragedy in CT and we need to be respectful of the situation. There will be times in the future, and probably not on this board, for gun control debate. Please keep it to cards, guys. Anymore discussion about it in this thread, and mostly anywhere on the board, and it will be dealt with swiftly. I get tears in my eyes every time I see some of those parents on TV or in the media. Most of us are parents and I can't imagine the agony.

I should add that the subject is being talked about in the thread about the atrocity, and as long as it stays there and doesn't get out of hand, no worries. But the subject will not be allowed to spill over into other threads. Thanks for everyone's understanding.

Fair enough, Leon. As a parent of a Kindergartner very similar to all those kids, this entire incident hits wayyyyyyyyyyy to close to home and I've let my emotions get the better of me. Will be the last I mention it on these boards.

Thanks Mike...I mean seriously, I just now watched a news clip of 2 of the parents....tears were streaming down my face. I appreciate everyone's understanding and, as a parent, I do understand.

Not a big fan of the colorized "lipstick E95s". I just perfer the cards related to the photo itself. The photo is my prized part of my collection eventhough it is a photo.
