Supplement from the Pittsburg Sunday Press. Picked this up somewhat recently, but just got around to taking it out of the frame (would guess from the 80s?) today. It was taped to the matte around the edges unfortunately.

Still a very cool piece.

Congrats

Though not baseball I thought this flip book might be of interest here since it was issued by Fleer in the 19th century:

These are my first two T206 pick-ups in a year. Last year while visiting family in Pennsylvania, I wandered in to a smalll card shop and found a Brooklyn Dahlen. Last week I returned after a year and found these two in the same shop. They were surrounded by shinny modern cards. He had no other cards pre-1989. It was odd seeing them surrounded by Buster Posey and Mike Trout so I rescued them. I picked up the pair for $210 which in my limited knowledge of this set seemed very reasonable.

Big thanks to Pete U. and BST.
I don't collect Obak's, but have always wanted a "Gilliam Squires" stamp.
Also enjoy the 1911's "multi-moldy-color" backgrounds.

Edit to say: I know the PCL played a long schedule, but some of the AB numbers these guys have are amazing !!!

I think you did fine - that's one of the nicest Beckley cards I've seen. Like Tenney, seems to be tough to find that one with great color and registration. Also, that blue-background Evers is kind of tough.

1933 Butter Cream Lefty Grove with Sept 1 back....

I have been looking for a 1933 Butter Cream Lefty Grove card with a Sept 1 back for the past 15 years. I missed out on two in the last 8 or 9 years, but was able to grab one late last week. I was so excited to cross this Grove card off my list!

Thanks again Ken for the Reulbach and Thanks again to Scott for the Batter Up. I now have the Heving in three colors: Purple, Black and now Blue.

Thanks,

That's great Scott, cool card. The funny thing is when I upgraded my Obaks, the first thing I did was get rid of all the cards which were stamped Gilliam Squires on the back :)

Maybe one of you would be so kind as to crack a slab (so we are sure it is real) and mangle a Waddell, in the same fashion so we can do some side by side comparisons:D:D:D

What is the significance of this card? Please pardon my ignorance just curoius what makes this appealing besides the mangle job.

Picked up a handful of Series 8 cards on and off ebay in the past week but this was one which had eluded me from the New Orleans Pelicans subset I've been collecting. Glad to get it.
