Sharp looking card, Chris!

This one might look familiar
NJ found this one either late last month, or early this month (my memory is terrible). I found a replacement, and now Bull is number 297 in the rebuilt Howe collection. Thanks NJ

Won the first card from REA, which I've been looking for a long time, and definitely paid an arm and a leg for it. The second card I got from Goldin, and purchased mainly for the Ruth "ghost" image on back even though I already have this exact card in the same color tint, too.

Nice looking Ruth Exhibit, Gary. I always find it odd to see the word "poor" near a card that looks anything but.
|
Thanks, Sam! It's the usual back damage as the reason for the low grade.

Dean- I'm glad you were able to pick up one...it is a cool card. I see that yours is marked Boston, N.L. - he only played there in 1928. Mine is marked St.Louis, N.L. - his original team for which he played for 12 years - 1915-1926. Based on that fact alone...and the Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards does not provide any further information - I would say that your version, minus the autograph of course, is significantly rarer and perhaps more valuable....just surmising. Now, tell me who your seller was...he owes me a finders fee. LOL |
