Picked up the EPDG at the Beckett auction.....overpaid, but heckuva lot cheaper then going after the Saco ones.....

Break it out and soak???

Regardless, first back run complete.

Adam, That Goudey Klein is gorgeous!

Luke 03-28-2015 10:24 AM

Nice work Jeff! I'd try a soak. Don't think there's anything to lose by trying. Then I'd put all three cards in one of those big, thick screwdowns, side by side. That would be a cool way to display them imo.

I don't know much about this set, but I figured it was a cheap price for what looks like a cool subject. Can anyone tell me more about the W502s? Is this a decent pick-up? I seem to remember reading about Al from LOTG researching this set a while back?

Ed, that is my favorite card from the set as it features a VERY young Tony Lazzeri! So young in fact they actually used an older photo featuring Tony while he was with the Salt Lake Bees in the PCL (you can see the "SL" arm patch in the photo. Thought you would find that interesting.

Rhett,

Thanks, I did notice that the uniform was from the Bees, but don't know much else about this set. What are these cards? W502s are all I know.

Ed
