Sweet looking Tannehill with a print/crop line at the top. Can I just say I hate when these cards are in high grade and not a Pied/SC back, I hate paying extra for numbers. If anyone has a card with a crop mark, please bend a corner before grading it. Thanks :)

SGC said that heat and pressure are part of the holdering process.. not a problem for the majority of cards... but very rarely... for cards that have layers of paper loss...as such with the corner on my cobb lenox.. if the paper loss is severe enough, causing the paper to be much thinner then normal.. the card could be damaged while being holdered....So SGC will have reservations about holdering such a card....especially if it is an expensive card..

The plastic helps to protect the card from the holdering process (heat and pressure) as they described it to me... They strongly recommended it based on the condition of the Cobb...and I went with their recommendation.. as the card didn't get damaged during the process I am happy I followed their advice.

SGC has a great bunch of guys working there. Really top of the line..my advice is just let them be the judge and follow what advice they give... when it comes to should a card be holdered or not due to how flimsy the card may be.

honestly if the card is that fragile it should be in an Aut holder, not numerical.

Thanks to WTGA for the trade on this one. Miscut, missing red ink in the collar, the rare pink collar version from the day the clubhouse guy threw the white collared shirts into the laundry with the red hats! I also like the out-of-focus part of the card...unless he wore white "eye-black"

T213-2 Ford

2 Attachment(s)
Chris, thanks for pointing to the grass background on the T215-2 Ford. I had not noticed that until now. It is all dark green w/o the light green grass with dark green shadows on all other Fords I've seen.

Here is the T213-2 Ford I have. There is only 1 Ford in T213-2, shown as a Buffalo Fed. Ford played for Buffalo in 1914 and 1915 so the T213-2 Ford is probably from the earlier run of 1914-1916 type 2 Coupons. The T215-2 Red Cross ran into 1913 when Ford was still on NY. So, it would be interesting to see if anyone else had a T215-2 Ford with the same all green grass background.

It seems I've needed to try to be creative recently. I was able to work out a deal with JP to get the following cards, but had to work out separate trades/purchases with Luke and John to pull it off. All told, four N54 members, 13 low grade T206s, 5 mailings and a lowly $15. Thanks guys! This puts me at 80 different EPDG!

Not often do I get schoolgirl giddy over a card, but I collect crop mark T206's and I was looking for a centerpiece to the collection, most are commons and half lines, but a few days ago I picked up this bad boy on ebay and couldn't be happier! Someone at the factory missed low and wide on the cut and 104 years later, that made my day :D

If you're looking for a low grade T206 Young/Bare PM me, I'll be selling my old one

BTW, If you read the "know you're addicted thread", this is the card I bought right after I decided $6 was too much to spend on lunch and went to Dunkin Donuts instead :)
