Interesting point you make - any other set with missing colors or crap registration, is considered....crap. But yours is cool. |

Not the best OJ's I have, but I needed the Brouthers to get to 26 of 28 1887 Detroit team set. Still need Ganzel 179-2 493 catch at shoulder and Twitchell 468-2 490 Pitch at chest to complete this team set.
The Goodfellow card in middle from Jay. The Brouthers and Griffith from Legendary Joe |

After a very long drought of not picking up any of these purple number backstamps, a board member picked one up for me at a card show and contacted me when he got back. He asked if I wanted it. Um, yes please.
My newest T206 Purple Number Backstamp. Thanks a lot, AndyH . |

Hi Babe. Lookin good after all these years.
A couple new ones, including my first 1915 CJ (previous 3 were '14). It seems like not many action photos on prewar cards show the player smiling. Looks like Zach had fun when playing the game (and who wouldn't? :) ). |
Picked up my 40th different Evers, these postcards look so much better in hand.
Images are really crisp and clear. http://photos.imageevent.com/mhgt/ho...-2%20Evers.jpg |

Picked up this cool RPPC. The first pitch ever thrown out at Swayne Field. Toledo Mud Hens pitcher and 3 x 20 game winner Frank Owen throws out the first pitch to a Columbus batter.
I'm fairly confident somewhere in the infield is HOFer Joe McCarthy. He played 128 games for the Mud Hens in 1909. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...ToledoRPPC.jpg |
Those are perfect Erick...

Picked up a Colgan's Chips Reulbach and a Fan Craze Reulbach to go with my Carl Horner Type 1 photo of him. I just need a T204 Ramly to complete it.

Exciting New Find by The PSA ID Verification Specs Guys

I don't know how they found out that I so enjoy collecting all the variations and different types of a particular issue ; I think it's great that they went out of their way to create this one-of-one Fine Pen Type Three ( borderless )for me . In their defense however , they spelled his name correctly . And the pile of vouchers grows yet higher................... |

I think these are from the big baseball collage in the Huggins and Scott Auction. This is my 3rd E104-3 Nadja Tom Jones. Same old story, doesn't even surprise me, and as the famous Tom Jones singer would say "It's Not Unusual".

I should add that the subject is being talked about in the thread about the atrocity, and as long as it stays there and doesn't get out of hand, no worries. But the subject will not be allowed to spill over into other threads. Thanks for everyone's understanding. |

Got my first pre-war card! Woooooot. I mentioned this in another post about T206 but this is one of my favorite poses in the set. Hat flipped up. Old style glove visible. Staring down the hitter.

Just picked up this cool 1940 San Francisco Seals stamp book. I know almost nothing about it. But the book has 17 out of the 25 stamps and even more amazing 23 out of 25 autographs.

Received this wonderful present in the mail today from Greg Bussineau Sports Rarites Auction. Thanks for getting it to me before the holidays!
Wanted to also thank Old Cardboard Magazine, because they sent an email alert that the Greg Bussineau Auction was ending which alerted me to this item. The fact that this T4 had eluded me in several previous auctions, where it had sold for much higher prices in previous Lew Lipset and Legendary auctions, makes this pickup even sweeter. Happy Holidays, (P.S. Note that the team name is in script on the T4 and block letters on the 1911 Obak.) Patrick |
nice T4! lucky it eluded you so long...as cost savings was significant!!!!

Isn't that postcard from Nampa, Idaho, Scott? If so, that could well be the field on which the Weiser Kids, with Walter Johnson pitching, played.

My first T213, and another Johnny Evers for my collection. Sweet Christmas gift from my wife!

Hank, Jason,
Yes, it's Nampa, Idaho. Jason - that's cool. Apparently there was a photographer present with a steady hand. You don't see too many action shots from that era, this clear. |
Just buy 4 lionel carter t206 cards. I choose principaly the howell and the nichols because these cards pass almost all his life with my Plank in the same page of mr Carter album.
