But I noticed we're not able to do that anymore. It might be worth asking the Net54 lords if it'd be possible to get that function back.

Apologies in advance for taking this thread off-topic.

Thanks.

Posted By: bill
Once again, this guy is a thief and liar.

He begged for money on the CU forum. He stated he needed $100 for a down payment on a used car after his car was totalled (isn't that what insurance is for?). Received a very kind donation of $100 from a forum user. The next day he bought a card on eBay for $150+.

He was banned for publicly bashing PSA on their on forum. Anyone who bashes a forum owner on their own forum is going to get banned. Brian did not start his BS here or on eBay until after he was banned from the forum. The forum ban just added to the list of sportscard related places that he is banned from.

As far as Joe Orlando is concerned, how many presidents of a large company will give you a return phone call within an hour if you have an issue and you are just a small customer, like myself? Three times I have called Joe on an issue with a submission. Twice was regarding the same sub and an error on my part. All three times he called me back within an hour.

OK, I digress.

Posted By: Bill
After being proven a liar, Brian insisted on repeating his lies even though the undeniable proof was posted over and over again. Feel free to check the CU forum locked thread by "osocards" titled "My apologies".

He was also proven without a doubt to be a shill bidder on his own auctions. Of course, he denied that too.

Since I was the one that outed him while he was trying to hide behind his new ID, he then decided to post a negative review of Joe's book on Amazon using my CU screen name.

Outstanding individual and an assett to this hobby.

BTW, he admitted then later denied that he accepted dontaions for "his" MS charity directly to his Paypal account. Most now believe that he may not even have MS but gladly accepted donations to purchase cards.
I think we'd lose a few others, too.

I don't know this Brian guy, don't recall encountering him anywhere. But what PSA certified that he was buying wasn't true. If PSA is going to be professional and trustworthy, they can't be like the Brian you described, they needed to step up and do the right thing. Evidently they did. Good for them. And good for Brian, whether he's a scoundrel or not.

He paid .99 for the card and with shipping it was around 5.00. Add the PSA / DNA fee
and you are lucky if he had more then 25.00. He tried to hold them up and they wouldn't
have anything to do with it. While all this was happening he received yet another negative
feedback from a buyer who claims he never sent an item. Posted By: Fred C
I offered $100 for that encapsulated fake signature. To me, the right thing to do would have been to keep it in the encapsulated form and remind people that PSA is far from perfect. Add to that I would never have let PSA get there hands on it. This could have been a constant reminder to PSA that they need to do a better job.

Brian, if that card is back in the hands of PSA then you sold out. In my book if PSA has that card you're not much of a collector, just an opportunist.
Posted By: Fred C
Brian,

I guess you answered the question. Not that it's anybody's business but do you want to disclose how much it took PSA to get that card back from you?

If I had that card there's no way I'd sell it for $5,000 )or any amount of money). Now, on the other hand, if someone wanted to donte $5,000 to the "Make-a-Wish" foundation or the American Diabetes Association (directly to them) I'd probably consider that.

My motivation for keeping the card would have been for the sake of the hobby. You keep it, PSA knows about it and it tells them they need to do a better job for the people/hobby that keeps them in business.
