I believe this is the actual tower shown in the pic above where the fire can be seen below the tower.

With 60 mph sustained winds and gusts up to 100 mph, it is standard practice to turn off the power to homes to avoid a fire. So. Cal. Edison (SCE) is saying they did so, but actual homeowners are saying they still had power even after the fire started.

I'm amazed but not surprised California has not adopted European high tension line practices when it comes to clearing brush and trees to form a safety zone.

I am sorry this thread got so political and heated. (no pun intended).

The said thing is, is that it started out with the best of intentions. If all of the inuendos, attacks and political BS were deleted now, this thread would look stupid.
Anyone who wants to start another one, please do. It will be monitored, unfortunately, closer than this one was at the beginning. I was hoping those comments would die down as censorship in general totally sucks.

And back to the original point of the thread. My heart truly goes out to those affected so badly from this historic tragedy. God bless all of them. And God bless all of the animals affected too....so sad.
