The t206resource back scarcity list was created back in 2012 based on the scarcity of acquiring each back independent of the subjects. If you break it down to print groups or subjects the list could change quite a bit. Sweet Caporal 350 factory 25 and 30 are number 37 and 38 on the list but there are several subject that the SC350/25 are their toughest back and there's one subject that the SC350/30 is his toughest back. In my opinion there are a couple on the list that could be changed but in general it's not to far off.

This back printing anamoly tells us that this Collins card was horizontally double-printed on a T205 sheet.

Rare backs
American Lithographic (ALC) introduced 4 new Tobacco brands during their printing of the 350-only Series (circa Spring/Summer 1910).
I was fascinated to find out that ALC printed the AB - BL - CY - DRUM backs on 190 subjects in this 350 Series. And, I embarked on an ambitious challenge to at least collect this 4-card sub-set of my favorite T206 players pictured in this Series. So I started with Delahanty. I completed my first A - B - C - D sub-set in 2007 at the Reading (PA) Philly Show. I acquired Frank Delahanty's DRUM card from Toby. http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...ntyABCDx50.jpg .http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...tyABCDx50b.jpg NOTE.....All 190 subjects with the AMERICAN BEAUTY 350 and CYCLE 350 backs have been confirmed. Currently, 177 - BROAD LEAF 350 cards have been confirmed. From the 350-only Series, 123 DRUM cards have been confirmed. Recent years, more BROAD LEAF 350 cards and DRUM cards have surfaced, and they will continue to be discovered in the future. TED Z T206 Reference . |

Rare backs
I sold my T205 set (including Hoblitzell No-Stats) 22 years ago. Then, I started putting together T205 runs of NY Yankees players. That is when I realized
that American Litho also printed the A - B - C - D pattern on certain T205 subjects. Exactly 32 subjects can be found with this pattern. List will be posted. My experience doing these T205 runs has provided me an appreciation for certain printing patterns in the T205 set. Two important examples are...... 1.... T205 DRUM cards and HINDU cards are mutually-exclusive in the print runs. 2.... The A - B - C - D cards and AMERICAN BEAUTY (Green) cards are mutually-exclusive. Displayed here is my 1st complete T205 run.....Harry Wolter (11 cards). The DRUM was real tough (but it assured me that No HINDU of Wolter exists). I may be an exception to the rare backs in binders. Here's one of my favorite pages out of my set...if only I could find a Konetchy Red Hindu or BL460 to round the backs out. |

Chris Ole buddy....I think I asked you this once before several years ago, but I don't remember your answer...... " Have you ever seen (or heard of) a Blue Chase with a DRUM back ? " I have been searching for one for 40 years. Never seen one, never heard of one. http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...uplcate75x.jpg http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...LxCOxCYx25.jpghttp://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...ldDRUMx25b.jpg TED Z T206 Reference . |
