I always love seeing this card as it immediately takes my brain to this photo- one of the best 1910 Paul Thompson portrait photos used for the t205 set in terms of image quality. The card doesn’t do it justice even when the registration is spot on such as your beautiful example. His extreme features just aren’t quite captured in the card. It is not the most valuable Type 1 photo in terms of dollars in my collection but it provides great joy. Yes.. I know how weird that sounds ��

If anybody is looking at all your beautiful cards and thinking how sad it is that they have almost none, I have eggsactly one left. Medical bills, but I couldn't part with this one. It's not nice but it's mine.

That Paul Thompson photo doesn't hide a thing...it is pretty impressive. I think the T205 artist(s) did a great job with capturing the player's essence, but they also were not afraid to smooth out facial features. The original photoshoppers.

Brian, I looked at my T205 box, placed the Schulte in there, and thought about counting the points. I will get to it soon. I should have some extra time over the holidays. Rob

I am now at 142 with lots of 1 pointers and dupes as I'm working on back runs and HLC's and other 1 pointer stuff. Here's my latest addition, no new points to add with this one. My brother, who quit collecting 35 years ago, would call this "mint" because that's what cards like this were called back then.

That Titus would be Nr-Mt/Mint to me (that's my old-timey designation for it...I guess I was a strict grader for that long gone time frame). Welcome to the club, and even you don't get bonus EGGS points for dupes or different backs, they still are awfully cool.

I added Hoblitzell correct no Cin to add 3 to my total bringing me to 341.

I was just thinking about EGGS this morning, perhaps because it was what was on the breakfast plate. Nice tougher pickups, and your respective multiple baker's dozen numbers will be updated.

Hi - just stumbled upon this thread, thankfully. T205 is my favorite set.

I’d like to throw my name into the mix. I have 202 total T205s for an EGGS score of 302.

Since this great thread has re-emerged, I have picked up a Baker, Duffy and Collins (mouth closed).

Welcome aboard Mark2391...your EGGS number has been installed in its lofty position, and John I updated your number by 6 to the total of 55, let me know if different.

It has been over 5 months since the last post...surely some updates or new folks that want to cross the borders into this golden thread.

Below is a visual reminder of what a T205 looks like. Gaze steadily at it for a few minutes, and then close your eyes. Perhaps the inside of your eyelids will have started collecting a new set of prewar cards (or you will just have some dude named Harry that can't seem to stop staring into your brain).

Great thread, figured I would add myself to the tally. EGGS = 144.

You have been added to the roll call at EGGSactly the 144 level. And nice Dahlen...always nice to add a potential future HOF to the lineup, especially one that is a little tougher to come by.

Nice T205 photo. Looks like Dahlen slid in between noted ne'er do wells Cicotte and Chase. And thanks for bumping this thread...that's one less thing to accomplish on my to (ne'er) do (well) list.
