Nice stuff, guys.
Got these in the David Hall T206 Heritage Auction...I previously owned the Hemphill back miscut, happy to get that back. The Knabe is pretty special, reminds me of the Plank and Speaker color errors that have not much more than just a light blue color pass. |

With this card of Moe Berg, I have now completed the Batter Up set (of cards that depict baseball playing spies that worked for the United States government...at least the spies we have been allowed to know about).

Major pickup for me as I near the end of putting together my '33 Goudey set! This card had become my most difficult challenge of any card to find in decent condition, and I was starting to think I may have a long, long road ahead tracking one down. For those considering a '33 Goudey set, start looking for your #52 now.
A big thanks to Howard (hcv123), his email with this for sale was like a bolt from the blue! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...85a6ce5a_z.jpg |

Got these "normal" commons in LOTG to pair up with my recently acquired printing freaks. I like having companion cards to show off the drastic difference.

That Knabe is wild :eek::eek:
Great cards as always Mike. |

Back from Florida. These guys get me to 90/108 (or 89/96, excluding the high numbers) and were difficult to find with centering that fit in with my other 87.

My ramly inheritance
I’m not sure this is the right thread but I inherited three baseball books. One from 1901 to 1912 and two from 1939 to 1942. The oldest book contain 16 ramly’s with two square frame cards. They are of Dineen and Burkett. Anybody have insights into these cards? There are 14 more.
The other two books, one from the National League and one from the American League contain many Hall of Famer‘s from 1939 1940 Play Ball including the 1939 Ted Williams rookie and also a a Goudy Ty Cobb. These books were started by my great grandfather and continued by my grandfather. They are scrapbooks and include newspaper clippings from the day DiMaggio and did his 56 game streak and the voting that put him over the top for the MVP over Ted Williams in the 1941 season. They are over 100 cards including the ram lees play ball National Chicle. I have never posted or told anybody about these sets. Does anybody have an idea of the value or any opinion at all. Thanks you |
