First post ever here, hoping I don't screw this up....
Recently decided to transition solely to vintage and picked up these two: W516 Heinie Groh and a W529 Jack Dempsey. Nothing super fancy, but really excited nonetheless |

I have been working on my mid-tier set for about 5 years now. Ol' Stoney McGlynn has alluded me all this time .... Thanks to Luke for finally hunting him down for me................. :) ...... as an aside: I had to look him up, as I figured his nickname wasn't based on "today's" assumption :o .... He seemed to have been the Iron Man McGinnity of the minors, with amazing number of innings pitched, complete games, etc........ Therefore known as "The man of stone" or having a "stone arm." Just adds to the interest, imo ..............
Alperman is #32 of my SC150/649op replacements (still need Pastorius and Matty/white []). Other two, just kind'a cool ..... Attachment 446846 Fun, fun, Scott  |

It’s a different card for sure with the three different photos. I’ve always loved it because it may be the best, most clear actual photo of Babe’s face on a baseball card...at least a card issued during the time he played.

Woke up this morning to find I was the owner of this Type 1 Coupon cigarettes card of Frank Chance. Only the 2nd example of a Type 1 I have ever owned. When I went to bed I didn't think I had a chance to win it because cards like this are not in my collector budget, but sometimes these things just work out. Happy to have it.

Sweet card!!

Nice cards, Wazoo and Jonathan, where did you find those? I have an example of each, and both were very difficult to find.

The way prices have taken off, glad to have grabbed this guy. Low grade, but still very presentable, and didn't have to shell out $15K.

Frank Arellanes-
Along with Sandy Nava cited as one of the first Mexican-Americans to play in the Major Leagues. His most productive season came in 1909, when he recorded 16 wins with a 2.18 ERA as the replacement of Cy Young in the pitching rotation, leading the American League in games finished (15) and saves (eight). Born in Santa Cruz Ca. he died at age 36, a victim of the 1918 Spanish influenza epidemic. |

Just got these but I ended up becoming interested in going a different direction while they were out getting graded so they won't be mine for long lol. The Collins was uncatalogued/undiscovered up to this point, meaning this is the only one known to exist AFAIK.

Got this T200 in the recent Heartland Auction. The bottom edge looks like it was trimmed (rather unevenly) which accounts for the grade, but otherwise not a bad looking card. Now down to Boston and St. Louis National and Cleveland and New York American to complete the set.
