!954 NY Giants spring training and media guide. The recipient's name cracks me up. He sounds like a hoodlum in a Raymond Chandler novel. :D

Picked this up, too. Michael Morse GU bat from 2014.
Mike only played one season with the SF Giants but had quite an impact and hit one of the more memorable home runs in Giants' postseason history. Trailing the Cardinals in the 8th inning of Game 5 of the NLCS, Mike was sent in to pinch hit for Madison Bumgarner. He promptly hit the tying HR. The Giants went on to win that deciding game and later the World Series. Could this be the bat he used to hit that HR???? Nope, that was a Marucci. |
Thanks Graig. I had forgot I had it . Found it looking for something else.

Great bat Rob, but I am really digging on that 1954 Spring Training & media guide mailer. That is a great piece you just don't see too often. Great pick up!

Super pumped to add this to my Desk Moines collection. Not vintage but will look great framed next to my original 1950 jersey.
Mike Mahoney 2007 I-Cubs. Still lives and works in DM. Going to pay him s visit to auto before framing. |

First ever snapshot pickup for me. Foreground rookie Snider and Hermanski in 1947. Background Jackie Robinson, though it oddly looks like he's fielding warm-ups at second base, a position he didn't play in 1947, if memory serves. Crappy clarity on my scan.
A cool, little snapshot from a lifelong Cubs fan (judging by some quick internet research). |

Rob I was thinking the same thing. Where’s the April pickup thread?

I'll continue the March/April pickup thread. I picked up this 1921 Leslies magazine this morning at the flea market showing the grips of Babe Ruth, Rogers Hornsby, Ty Cobb, George Kelly, Harry Heilmann, Ed Roush and Fred Williams. Pretty neat item.
