Thanks to an awesome fellow Net54 member for contacting me after seeing my E105 list in the 2016 wantlist thread and allowing me to add #26 to my collection:

Always happy to add an OJ player on the "Very Scarce Cards" rarity list in the The Photographic Baseball Cards of Goodwin & Company by Miller, Gonsowski, & Masson.

Dang OCD I picked up somewhere. Even low grades of 1 or 2s look good when centered. I'd Rather have a low grade centered than a Mid grade uncentered. Of course there are exceptions |
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe :D
Nice card. Quote:

Sometimes you can strike some really great deals through the B/S/T. Thanks Raymond for these - they are awesome!

Paul- I'm glad they went to both an appreciative collector and a Net54 member... ('making Wall Street richer') ...and that I did not loose too much money on them. - I spent the proceeds on another Ty Cobb and another Honus Wagner Thanks, Raymond |
LOTG pick up. I have always loved this pose.
http://www.net54baseball.com/picture...ictureid=20743 An impulse buy which will probably end up as trade bait. http://www.net54baseball.com/picture...ictureid=20744 |

just picked up a 1909 T206 Rube Waddell in poor condition for $35, no pics yet, but even in it's "meh' shape, I thought $35 was a steal, never thought I could afford a Waddell card!

Here's a 1916 Coupon Frank Chance LA batting and the 1915? Coupon Ed Reulbach 'Pittsburgh'. Reulbach played for Brooklyn Nats (also shown) in 1914, Newark in 1915 and Boston in 1916. I could not find any evidence of Reulbach playing for the Pittsburgh Rebels, nor did I see any names on the Rebels roster that the printers may have confused him for...Maybe he had intended to go to Pittsburgh but ended up in Newark. Anyway, both of these cards are hard to find...

Was happy to win this Goudey premium recently at auction at what appeared to be okay price--but shocked when it arrived in the mail to find that it was so oversized, in the biggest SGC holder, not the medium-sized one. Stupid me. Frankly, don't know why they don't sell for even more, considering the Babe, the shot, the size and the Goudey. And this one has a great front, grade reduced by the usual funky back. http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1466716729

Miniature Version
Nice Ruth Premium. Here's the mini colorized version. The focus, registration and color sold me on this one even though the centering isn't ideal.

Looks like my bid held up on this one. Prime example of buy the card not the holder:

Thanks Sam. Packs, i agree 100% i love your cobb. Would buy it in a heartbeat. Give me a beautiful card at a good price any time. While big bucks are being spent on high grade cards, I think people are realizing that a gorgeous card holds a premium regardless of what the flip says...particularly with pre-war cards. Congrats!

Some recent additions to my collection of rookie cards of the top 100 players in MLB history (according to my own algorithm). These are #30, #34, #89, and #99 on my list, plus one more card for my Glazner player set (7 down, 4 to go).

Thanks to LOTG and Goodwin, respectively, for these two additions to the collection
