See, it's stupid comments like this. Arrogant people on this forum that are just not willing to appreciate and accept other's collections. Richard A. try to buy one in 20 years. There are plenty left now, maybe some are mine, you never know. This was fun for a few years, I've grown tired of the dick measurements, you guys have fun, I know I will.

wonkaticket 03-03-2013 07:02 PM

Shown all too many times....one more time sorry.

Whoa, Rawn. You've got me all wrong, man. That comment was not meant to provoke you or insult your collection. I have long been a fan of your Carrigan collection. The comment was nothing more than a mindless observation...not at all intended to be taken the way it was.

Obviously the joke was not taken as it was meant. My apologies.

Regards,

Richard.

Members of the 1908 Chicago Nationals - almost completed

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...oNationals.jpg

My son, also a member of the class of '08 (2008, that is)

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...ampTheCubs.jpg

Still need Del Howard, Andy Coakley & Vin Campbell on a period-era card to get everyone. Bill Mack pitched the only two games of his career for the team, and Karl Spongberg made his one and only appearance in the majors as well. Neither, as far as I can determine, ever appeared on a baseball card.

Interesting tidbit about Spongberg & Mack: Both had career batting averages of .667 (2-3).

Been stuck on 39 unique signed poses for a couple of years. (37 if you don't count Mrs. Matty & McGraw.)

Actually, the dog is thinking about how yummy the tobacco-laden Polar Bear and Honest Long Cut-backed cards would taste, but for the plastic. Clearly planning on trying to pry one open.

Scott,

Does the Plank in the middle of the group have a Sweet Cap 150 back?

Tony

wonkaticket 03-08-2013 09:11 PM

I'll take a stab for Scott yes 150 back and most likely from a SCP auction awhile back? Great card.

yes it does, the old camera photo does it no justice, Here is a better comparison shot of it and it's 350 counterpart, which is always washed out and blurry.

1915 Cracker Jack

1915 #2 on SGC Registry "Just to have them"

Took me 8 years true mid-grade:)

Over paid for a couple

I found Meyers and McInnis to be very hard in mid grade:(

I passed on alot of cards ...I don't like staining:p

I did cross alot of PSA.....gotta break them out;)

I found SGC tougher grade wise:eek:

But just can't deal with the other guy and like SGC's plastic:cool:

I had a ton of fun going after these after years of dreaming:D

Looking forward to Cracker Jack book this summer:cool:

Any other details?:)
