Andrew...thieves often start out selling a few legit items to establish themselves as trustwory then go for the big rip off...classic con man...you have proven yourself a liar...ban him leon before he can become a thief
|
I mean c'mon guys...all of these psycho killers in the news every day...they perform these acts to get attention...because they were neglected as children or for whatever reason. This "andy" character is no different.
i don't think fueling his fire with numerous additional threads is helping matters at all... |

Lots of funny pictures and stuff...
What's the fascination with this clown? I guess a good train wreck is always hard to beat. :p |
Regardless of the humorous tones present the guy did claim to have something he didn’t and offered it for sale. Luckily it was something so outlandish that nobody fell for it. That aside if it was more inline and this was say a fake item for 2k and a fake Photoshop to follow proving he had the item. I doubt you guys would be so quick to say ahhh just let it go.
The only thing saving this guy from the true rage of this community is the fact that it so outlandish and funny to a degree. I’m also not about to draw parallels to this guy being a mass shooter waiting to happen that’s silly. At best he’s a kid who got caught up in story time at worst he was trying to pull a fast one for some serious coin and was busted before he really put himself or someone in a bad spot. Cheers, John |

I kid you not David, I was doing this as you posted. Just finished a couple. John's pictures made me think of one he posted a while ago.
Now that I completed them, I suppose I have to post them. It'll be my exit from this thread... As you can see, the guns intimidated him into giving up the Wagner. Quote:

It was funny for a couple of days, but now I find it quite sad really. I can't believe he won't fess up after all the overwhelming proof that is against him. I look at the picture of him holding the card and I see a little kid's sock on the floor. He already stated he was married, but it's obvious that he has kid(s) too. It's sad to think of the position he put himself in, but also his wife and kid(s).

I don't feel sorry for a person (or people) who put themselves in a bad position and who are GIVEN A CHANCE TO ADMIT THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS and yet they CONTINUE to tell the same story or deny any wrong doing.
Do you know who I feel sorry for? The doctor who owns this card. Imagine the good story behind this card now being tarnished because somebody decides they want to try and cash in in an (apparently) fraudulent manner. Also, imagine a few years from now if the doctor (or his heirs) decide he/they want to sell this Wagner. Imagine a prospective buyer going on the internet and looking for information about it or the story behind it and they find THIS. Even though there might be hardcore proof that the Wagner the doctor owns is original there still might be some small question about it that arises from these threads and THAT might keep some from attempting to buy it OR it might keep them from offering as much as they otherwise would if THESE THREADS had never occurred. This thread has taken on a life of it's own......long live Andrew Clinton in Net54 lore.....

I always say that collecting vintage baseball is the best and worst hobby.

I think this is a conspiracy to get all the T206 threads bumped off the front page. :D

Even though this guy was obviiusly lying, what would he have actually done without the card? Its interesting in his first post he mentions more of wanting to trade. I wonder if he thought someone would be dumb enough to trade him some great cards? I think that musta been the intention as even he seemed to know that no one would paypal him 75k

Andrew you have received your 2 minutes of Fame now please move on.

What if this picture of "Andrew" isn't even really him? If he really thought he was going to pull off a scam, he may have used a photo of someone else- maybe one of his friends? I was just thinking about this.
Then again, he was trying to sell someone else's Wagner on Net54 :D Wonka- I've missed your awesome photoshop's, thanks for bringing them back :D Sincerely, Clayton |
I think its him. He took a pic infront of the mirror and you can see his hand is empty. Looks like he took the pic like that to crop in the wagner to still try and fool a few people in some way.

I was just thinking that a couple of weeks ago, there would have been a Manti T'eo reference with this thread. Lol. :D

You beat me to it. I woke up this morning thinking the exact same thing. Hypothetically, what person would be stupid enough to pull off a major scam and use his own photo in the process? Do we really know this is the person's real name? Also hypothetically, if it is another person, and that person's image has been used in an attempt to perpetrate a scam without that other person's consent, that's also major no-no - potentially issues such as false light and identity theft. |

He has offered to sell/trade it, but he has not actually attempted to sell/trade it, not yet anyways. It's an important legal difference between the two terms. For criminal fraud, consequent damages must have been suffered by the someone (the plaintiff, or an undercover agent in the case of a sting operation) in order for an act to be consider criminal fraud. In other words a transaction needs to have taken place, or have been attempted, before he could be charged with fraud. Yes, he’s being fraudulent but he has not committed criminal fraud…yet. |
Offer the White House for sale and see if the cops don't come.
|
It must be him. He isn't smart enought to think of using someone else in his place. Just look at the intelligence level of his posts and lack of proper grammar and sentence structure. This dude is more than a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

Masterpiece within a masterpiece
I can't read this post anymore, I'm sitting in the AA Admirals Club in SFO and laughing out loud over the photoshop pictures. I'm sure everyone around me thinks I'm having some emotional meltdown .. tears streaming down my face laughing, especially on that "a master piece within a masterpiece" pic.
|
Please stop. I've wasted hours reading these threads. I need to get back to work! LOL
My workers think I'm developing a mental problem because I keep on laughing. How about Andrew on the moon trying to sell it? Greg |
There are some very talented comedians on this board! Seriously
|
Needless to say .... he didn't take me up on my $175,000 offer :(
|
I'm having my kitchen remodeled and the White House picture did it. Now i can't stop laughing and the workers think something is wrong with me.:D
