Lenox Chase
great card! guess I live in the wrong spot of NY. Driveway deals never end up with a black lenox as an outcome =)

I am happy to add another HOFer tobacco card to sit next to my Lajoie T206. The SGC holder is in crappy condition, so it will be sent to SGC for reholdering. |
1928 Zeenut Averill
Not the best of shape but finally got one that fit my budget thanks to Steve Murray

Mike:
Nice pick-up on the Averill, still a very tough card in any condition. |
It had been a fairly consistent year
six cards in six months (missed three on eBay). Then in a 24 hour period, seven cards with Howe's stamp showed up on eBay...
Thanks to Leon, for moving my plea for bidding partners to the main board. Thanks to Erick, Iggy, John, Bobby and Eric for offering to be bidding partners. <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/?action=view&current=177Bescher.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/177Bescher.jpg" border="0" alt="177 Bescher"></a> <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/?action=view&current=178Camnitz.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/178Camnitz.jpg" border="0" alt="178 Camnitz"></a> <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/?action=view&current=179Howard.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/179Howard.jpg" border="0" alt="179 Howard"></a> <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/?action=view&current=180Mullin.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/180Mullin.jpg" border="0" alt="180 Mullin"></a> (I hadn't noticed the printers register marks on the side of the Mullin until I scanned it.) <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/?action=view&current=181OBrien.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/181OBrien.jpg" border="0" alt="181 O'Brien"></a> <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/?action=view&current=183Burch.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/183Burch.jpg" border="0" alt="183 Burch"></a> <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/?action=view&current=184Rucker.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/184Rucker.jpg" border="0" alt="184 Rucker"></a> When I contacted the seller Dan, and told him of my collection, he checked his inventory and found one more that had not been listed, and sold it outright. <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/?action=view&current=182Zimmerman-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/182Zimmerman-1.jpg" border="0" alt="182 Zimmerman"></a> |

A Constable Stamp...on a Chase card...seems about right...
Just picked this up from eBay (Probstein) and while I normally steer clear of cards with qualifiers, had to have this one because:
a) it's a Chase in White Cap which I don't have; b) it's in nice shape for a PSA 4; c) it has the coolest stamp on the back...has anyone else seen any of these "constable" stamped cards??? http://www.collectorfocus.com/images...e-cap-piedmonthttp://www.collectorfocus.com/images...-cap-piedmontb I guess I'll have to be on the look out for anymore with this back stamp...now I know how Ed feels!!! :) |

I have seen that stamp but might have been on that card (I am obsessively checking backs)

I just picked up this fairly nice Piedmont slide box, 1910 tax stamp, no overstamp, with a handful of cigarettes remaining. Sadly, there is no card included (so I'm telling myself that it would have been a bird or flag):

C'mon, Pete, those were the two that I was looking for when they were on the BST. I was too cheap though and tried to get them at a discount from the seller, meanwhile I guess you jumped in and scooped them up. All kidding aside, nice pick-ups!
|
Haha, Thanks Phil! I knew he was getting a bunch of emails, so I didn't want to negotiate and risk losing out.

I was very pleased to pick up these three HOFers to add to my Cuban collection. The Dihigo was at the top of my wish list. The Dimaggio and Williams were a bonus.
Best regards, Joe |
Joe:
Great condition on the Dihigo card, that is probably the nicest one of those that I have seen. |
Dihigo condition
Thanks Phil. I was real happy with the card's condition. It looks a lot better in hand than in the picture. I'm looking forward to having it graded.
Best regards, Joe |
Sounds good, an SGC 40/3 would be quite a nice grade for that set.
