I'm back! I haven't had a card to show for over a month, but here is my Frank Smith #179.
I have about 40% of the set so far (175 cards) but have mainly been focused on buying nicely centered mid-grade cards, I haven't paid much attention on filling in numbers but realized that I have nothing between 135 and 179. So I am guessing that finding centered Series 3 cards will be a bit of a challenge. |

Bob Swift for today. This card, in decent condition, was rather hard for me to obtain as the story goes, like the Bartirome card, this card was also being hoarded??

Bob shows up on the H&S Super list for what is described as a spit PP on the back, the defect in the PPs in Topps. He can also be found with a recurring botched g in the bio

My Swifty. I recall it being very difficult to find this card with even decent centering. And, overall, it seems to be in shorter supply than other cards in the series, though I have never heard of anyone hoarding it nor have I checked to see if population reports bear this out. Just basing it on my personal experience since it was one of the last few cards I needed for my 1-310 run and it was a bugger.

For me, it was not only a tough card to find centered, it was also a tough card to obtain as I was constantly outbid on numerous copies. I regret, bigtime, not purchasing a real nice centered graded copied (likely the best I had seen?) from a seller I frequent. I had already purchased my copy shown so it was an unnecessary expense but that still bothers me. I believe the seller had it as a auction/BIN option and it was grabbed up within hours. In hindsight, for a $100 U.S. I believe the buyer got a heck of a deal. Anyways, here is my Billy Hitchcock for today. Another card that is real tough to find centered, imo. |

Four Sack Dusak. Pretty cool nickname even if he did only hit 24 HRs in a 9-year MLB career.
