The three cards I'd most like to have: N172 Hecker; N172 Browning; N172 Delahanty

3. I mostly buy what I want. Sometimes I'll trade or sell something off.

4. So far the economy hasn't forced me to sell anything. If things get bad I guess I'd have to sell the wife and house before selling the cards.

5. Favorite series is N172. It's the first large set for baseball cards. It's baseball in it's infant stages. It's history. Read the books and relive it when you look at the cards.

6. I pick up cards on ebay, from auction houses, at a few shows and on the BST.

7. I provide technical support for a service organization that manufactures electrical distribution and emergency power generation equipment for a lot of different businesses and facilities. Posted By: Eric Brehm
1. What is your focus today, in collecting?
T206 (HOFers only), 1933 Goudey, and in the post-war arena, certain player sets such as those of Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, and a few other favorite players. I also work with my 20 year old son on some of the modern stuff (baseball and football) he collects. He is also interested in vintage Red Ruffing so that gets us into Diamond Stars, Play Balls, etc.

2. What are the 3 cards you need most?
I have essentially completed all the sets I started, so am mainly only looking for a few upgrades here or there at this point.

3. Posted By: Joe Drouillard
1. What is your focus today, in collecting? Working on the monster (I have almost 1/2 the set), but I've slowed down a bit lately because I've grown pickier about the condition of my cards. I also have 6 cards to complete the 1961 Topps set. This is the first set that I collected as a boy.

2. What are the 3 cards you need most? I don't need any cards, but I want to buy a T206 Cobb pretty soon. Chesbro and a trophy Chase are also on my want list.

3. Do you like to trade, buy, or a combination when you do acquire your needs? Buy. Trading is okay, but I'm not as experienced as other members of the board, and I don't like to feel like I'm being hustled. I've only traded cards a couple of times. I was real happy with my first trade, but very unhappy with the second. I guess I haven't had enough experience to really say if I would like to do more of it.

4. Has the economy forced you to sell things you wouldn't have otherwise? No. I only buy what I can afford. I buy and sell all the time on eBay and generate about $500.00 per month to add to my collection. It's a lot of work, but I enjoy it and it has worked out pretty good, so far.

5. What is your absolute favorite series, why? T206. The artwork and color. Also, it is available. I would hate to be chasing an impossible dream all the time. After I complete the T206 set, I will probably try my hand collecting one of the E sets.

6. How do you enjoy acquiring your cards most- Ebay, auction, BST, shows etc...? Ebay, because I like the feeling of getting a bargin, and every once in a while you can get a bargin there. The BST is nice. I've bought and sold on the forum, but its difficult to get a real value on the BST. If there is a deal posted it is gone before I get there.

7. What do you do for a living, how old are you and where do you live? I'm a high school English teacher. 57. Toledo, Ohio.

Posted By: David McDonald
1. What is your focus today, in collecting?
Trying to finish an E93 set (need 6 cards) I started last year and a '33-'34 WWG Ice Kings hockey set (need 7 cards). Otherwise my focus is unfocused, just like to jump on the occasional killer card.

2. What are the 3 cards you need most?
Any of the E93s I lack, an IK Howie Morenz and if there is a Zeenut Oana with coupon in excellent eye-appeal condition out there somewhere I want it.

3. Do you like to trade, buy, or a combination when you do acquire your needs?
Mostly buy but have conducted several win-win trades with board members of late.

4. Has the economy forced you to sell things you wouldn't have otherwise?
**** the economy.

5. What is your absolute favorite series, why?
That's like asking OctoMom which is her favorite baby. Guess I lean toward the "painted" sets: '53 Topps, '33 Goudeys, Turkey Reds etc. Why? They are miniature works of art that idealize our beloved National Pastime. House on fire? Probably grab the T3s first.

6. How do you enjoy acquiring your cards most- Ebay, auction, BST, shows etc...?
Something to be enjoyed no matter how cards are acquired. Most awesome cards generally come from auction. BST is great because of the personal communication with other collectors. Shows I have been to have been Big Fun, like Toys'R'Us for cardboard junkies.

7. What do you do for a living, how old are you and where do you live?
Retired Professional Land Surveyor, pushin' sixty, and live in Honolulu.

I am also working on a Kahns Clemente run (missing only 1) and trying to get all the OJ pose variations for Tony Mullane (I have 4).

2. 1958 Kahns Clemente, William Patterson Hornsby, an N173 HOFer.

3. I mostly buy, but I've already had a great trade this year.

4. I'm lucky in that it hasn't forced me to sell anything yet, actually quite the opposite. I had planned to sell a few items this year, but I am going to hold off for a while until the marketplace is more favorable.

5. 1923-24 Billikens! This Cuban issue is extremely rare, has amazingly beautiful photos and great player selection including 5 Negro League HOFers and many other stars.

6. Many of my favorite transactions have been private deals with other collectors.

7. Posted By: David Poses
1. Highlanders/Yankees- all players, from specific sets- T201, 202, 205,206,207,213,215. E90,92,94,97,98,102,CJ,M116, a few E series' from the '20s, etc. Diamond Stars, 1933 Goudey, 1948-53 Bowman.

2. E94 Patsy Dougherty, M116 Stallings, E97 Hemphill

3. Like trading, but mostly buy.

4. No.

5. Good question. Since I only collect Yankees cards, I seldom consider every card in any given series. If I were to focus on a complete set, I'd go with E90s or 1952 Bowmans. Neither of those sets has a single card I wouldn't want to look at.

6. How do you enjoy acquiring your cards most- My preference is the BST. I'd rather deal directly with like-minded, card obsessed people than support eBay. But the truth is that (in spite of my preference to operate otherwise) I buy more from eBay and auction houses than the BST. I like the idea of card shows, but haven't been to a good one in years.

7. I'm 33. I work for the family business- supermarkets/food wholesale/retail in NYC. I live in Cold Spring, NY.
My absolute favorite series are 1911 & 1912 Zeenuts because of the size, sepia tone and the poses.

6.
