Nice Obak and the photo it was based upon. I took the liberty of making Mohler an upstanding man.

Ooof, that was a hard one to trade, but I am enjoying the Vitt. Don’t forget that photo was from Vitt’s own.

Finally got the T206 Wagner, from the Howe stash. Livingston's T205 card was my first T card I ever had, and I've been trying to get his T206 with our overpaying for years now. Easy card and total common, but I have been the underbidder on at least 100 examples on eBay, defying every odd. Thanks Scott.

Every time I see the Howe collection cards. it gives fond thoughts.
Nice pick ups so far, and with auctions always ending, I expect to see some good ones before end of month. Unfortunately, it probably won't be me.

Awesome pickups, everyone.
Managed to pick up a few legends. Sorry about the size, although these three were larger than life.

Agreed, Julie Newmar was the best! Though there was something about the way Eartha Kitt would say words like - puuurrrrfect. LOL

Brian 11-26-2022 07:10 PM

purrfect

I would agree--Eartha was up there, too!

I grabbed the 1923-24 Tomas Gutierrez and two Yankee World Series Mantle HR tickets, but was in on the others along with a few incredible photos. Loved that DiMaggio.

I was after that Ruth, but it went for more than I wanted to pay. I picked this up in LOTG last night. Great auction. I was after the W601 folio and the Carver book, both of which went for strong prices- congrats to whoever got those

I picked up a baseball adjacent movie theater card. One of the movies listed is The Pinch Hitter, an early baseball movie from 1917. I also bought a copy of the movie and received both the card and the movie the same day. The copy of the movie also had the 1919 movie The Busher another early baseball movie. Both movies namedrop Ty Cobb as an insult to one of the players, and The Pinch Hitter namedrops Christy Mathewson to describe how good the pitcher is.

Congrats on the pick up Jay, about the nicest Pratt "1" I've seen.

I won Pelty's W601 which I'm pretty stoked about, from last night, but wish I'd won a cabinet photo or the RPPC lot. Also got an Old Judge EX Orr to flip at what I thought was a mega-steal, the PSA 7 Kubek RC auto and the lot of 3 SGC graded trade cards I also thought was a steal.

All LOTG auctions, natch.

Managed to pick up my first T205 Cobb from LoTG last night. I thought it presented well for the grade and has the Honest Long Cut back.

won three HOF's at LOTG -- Wilbert is a tough N172, and the Lloyd and Torriente are their earliest cards.

Scocs 11-28-2022 08:47 AM

Great pickups, but the earliest Lloyd is the 1910 Punch card…

It was interesting to revisit what was picked up last year

pawpawdiv9 11-28-2023 01:03 PM
